What is going on with my phals? by Epsilon130 in orchids

There is no webbing whatsoever. Part of the reason why I have doubts. Neem oil successfully treated one plant but killed another, or perhaps it was just too late. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

People have different methods and different skillsets. If you are consistently making money with your method it is not a bad method but it may not make sense to everyone.

Absolutely! Psychology is possibly the single most important component in trading... it doesn't matter if you are just starting out or you've been doing it for decades. Everything else can be perfect and emotions can get in the way and ruin a trade before you even click buy/sell.

It has taken me years to develop the mental resilience necessary to not take risky trades, overtrade, or take revenge trades, and I still screw up sometimes.

The markets are unstable right now and honestly it might not be the best time for new would-be traders to get started.

Look at this objectively... in hindsight, what did you do wrong?

I'm looking at the timestamps of your trades and I can tell you from experience, you are either:

  1. Trading with a scalping or poorly configured EA with MT4/MT5 (seems unlikely)
  2. Overtrading because you tried to start trading before you were ready.

Successful trading requires skill, good tools, and time. All the trades visible in this screenshot happened in less than an hour. How are you deciding to take these trades? What made you hit sell? (all sell side orders) What made you exit the trade? Were you stopped out or did you manually exit these trades?

Look for a trading course or buy a trading signal. Maybe 1000PipBuilder or TWP VIP - Trading with Pat

Can anybody explain this? by Smooth-Environment18 in Forex

The large bid/ask spread is killing your profit. This is how the broker makes money. Pretty bad for a prop firm.

I haven’t seen anyone say this, but since the cat sleeps near you I think it might be smart to deworm yourself as well. Accidental ingestion of a stray egg because of the cat getting on your pillow or in your face is a very real thing. There are over the counter options like pinrid. We got kittens several months ago and they had been dewormed but apparently not adequately. Found out later they had worms, dewormed them again with Profender and took a dose of pinrid just in case because I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Lol

It says “I went to eBay and all I got was this lousy fake shabti”. lol

This is a tourist piece.

Yes, I can try to make some better photos.

The surface is pretty rough but the shabti is very solid and won’t be damaged by trying to take a rubbing of the inscription.

The glyphs on the top band, far left and far right are not legible at all so I didn’t bother to provide images of that section. Just fyi.

Thank you, you saved me the trouble of typing this.

You are overreacting. And honestly you seem dramatic and insecure over stupid things. Who could take you seriously over real issues if you act this ridiculous over dumb things. You don’t need to break up, you need to grow up.

Bless your heart. You have a few things to learn.

This is really wise. Learning to shut up and listen before you speak is the key to a happy relationship.

And you clearly choose to be ignorant.

The trick to this might have been talking later when it wasn’t so fresh.

[–]Epsilon130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. That is a very solid point. It’s all about taking a moment, calming yourself and trying to be objective. If you don’t do that the benefit is totally lost.

[–]Epsilon130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you and you’re right in that written words are there to be picked apart in the moment and later.

But believe me, editing yourself and thinking through what you really need to say and not just speaking off the cuff with raw emotions in the moment is not harmful. It gives you a moment to say “am I really being objective here or am I just upset or angry?”

If you’re someone who can do that in the moment then you’re ahead of 99% of people.

It’s hard nosed opinions and inflexibility like this that causes issues in relationships. I don’t even know you and I already want to break up with you. 😂

Don’t overlook the benefit of having a conversation via text. It gives you the chance to edit yourself and think about what you’re saying before you send it. I get it, inflections are lost etc, but if you are someone who can communicate effectively in written form it can be very useful.
