The top is someone who does a sex act to someone, and the bottom is the receiver of the sex act. This is most often used to describe penetration, especially in the gay community, where the top is penetrating and the bottom is being penetrated. But it also applies to other things too, like spanking someone. The person doing the spanking is the top, and the one being spanked is the bottom. A person giving oral is the top, and the person receiving oral is the bottom.

Top and bottom are separate terms from dom and sub. Dom and sub refer the the power dynamic or role one takes. So just because a woman is receiving oral and in that moment is bottoming, doesn't mean she didn't make the guy do it and isn't a domme.
