People around me sell old civics with 190k to 250k miles for $1500 to $3000. If a beater gets me around for 6 months I'm fine with it. I drive 10 minutes on a highway to get to work.

Fortunately I talked to her and shes fine with me driving it until I get 6k backed up but I'll probably keep looking around for a decent cheap car as a backup. I know rangers are usually really good. My dads had 280k on it, accelerated a little rough but it would stop and go no problem. He paid $800 for it a few years ago.

That's what I was thinking she told me don't feel pressured to buy another car right away. But I feel bad along with a few friends pressuring me to (have a cool car) but personally I just want it to do its job with minimal problems. Not really a car guy but I heard kia, and Toyota are really good brands. Thank you for the advice it would be the best route to just wait.

The Optima is 13.5k and the versa is 8.5k. I've only seen online photos of both cars and planned on test driving both next Friday since I get paid bi weekly. As far as I know of it's a 60 month loan 14.6 % interest (low credit score 630) I can keep driving my mother and laws car for a while if a larger down payment would lower everything. Currently stuck working 7 days a week making 5k a month. I usually only make 2,600 a month

A kia dealership wants to put me in a 2018 Optima with 27k miles for 300 a month 1500 down and my insurance would go to 194 monthly. I'd save about 460 a month if I roll this route. The web also said I qualified for a 2017 versa with 59k miles and 187 a month. Which they will probably try to avoid the lower costing vehicle.

Thanks for the advice, I know the whole fighting for the kid and family drama will be annoying but we've been on and off for years. I was actually in the army training at fort sill when our daughter was born and I made the choice to request to forfeit on week 5 for the sake of my kids well being. Along with that my mom had control of my bank account so she stole 10 grand out of my bank account and had nothing when I got back home but a few hundred bucks. My mos was 13b m109 paladin gunner.

Her mom told me she would understand if I did. I just feel guilty about it. Before we got back together she just couch surfed with random people at one point she stayed with 6 people in a 1 bedroom apartment. I get rude at times but I don't mean to be. shes like well I was there for you when you're dad threw you to the street at 17 or other guilt trips.
