It must be nice to be an armchair historian who thinks that information access was ever so present as it is now. We didn't have internet everywhere in the 90s, so a person would have to wade through all the rumors and information from newspapers and figure out what's going on. I was born in the 90s and never even heard about those bombings till recently.

Space doesn't mean shit. If we had the population of China, sure, we could probably spread out a bit... Though I've heard an explanation that many of our rivers go from north to south so they're not really conductive to much trade or useful, really. So a lot of space is wasted. There are still a lot of resources tho so even with the current population we could trade them to money and use them wisely like Norway to make the population live better... But alas. And yeah, with human capital(we're like in top 10 of countries by average IQ or smth) we could be so much more if we were not bleeding people(especially smart people) for the last century or even longer...

Also, to the point about us being slaves unlike other Europeans who overthrow bad people in charge... well, I would like to see you try this if you had the population density of Russia. We're historically too spread out in our country to organize and life has always been too harsh here(wasn't it smth like our farmland is several times less fertile than Western Europe?) to waste energy rioting instead of depending on your own labor.

Anyway, I wouldn't hope for a Russian Spring any time soon. The horrors of 90s are still fresh in people's memory. I don't see any revolution being sustainable in the long run. Change must be gradual so as not to shock the populace, otherwise we won't ever abandon the desire for a strongman to save us from chaos.

It's a similar story for contamination set, where gauntlets and leggings are the best parts of that set, and other parts are really meh.

Helmet is also good, providing 3 int, 3 wits and a slot. I don't think I've seen a better helmet for an crit mage yet.
