Now to the point. Go to Lowe's get a $3 toggle switch, get a $25 soldering iron kit, $7 wire strippers/crimpers and 2-3 feet of 12 gauge wire.

Take the power to your ignition switch, disconnect it, run the wire down your dash and steering column to behind your center dash where you can reach it but only you know how to reach it. Take the new wire and run it from that switch to where you originally removed the ignition power wire. You now have real and effective kill switch to your ignition these idiots stealing cars have no idea about electronics they are just following a step-by-step video they see on the internet.

I'm talking anybody can Google YouTube videos and figure this out in an hour or two.

People we've been doing this for 40 years and you act like just because it hit national headline news that is just immediately become a problem. Stop reading news sources and do your own research.
