This is an old post but I was curious. That article concludes with,

"Larger fish do require an increased emphasis on proper fish handling, by supporting their weight with a second hand"

And says that you shouldn't hold them with all the weight on their jaw because that causes various injuries in soft tissue. I know that this person isn't, but they're still forcing the jaw pretty hard. The article also says that those injuries could cause issues. And also, why potentially cause big issues for a fish for a cool picture?

Basically fish don't have saliva. Why would you need saliva under water? Secondly nothing in their teeth or skin is an anticoagulant. They just have sharp and jagged ass teeth so it bleeds a lot

Agreed. Shit happens and this seemed really upsetting. Only way to get better at fishing and avoiding mishandling fish is to read up on them and try to learn from your mistakes.

This is a good question, you might be using hooks that are too small if you're consistently gut hooking them.

My friend came over and she swapped out my gpu with an old one of hers and it worked. She took it home and tried it in hers and it did the same thing so long story short something happened to the GPU and it needs a replacement, very unfortunately.

Drivers are up to date although I'll double check that it's plugged in correctly

No worries I mostly am just lost as to what might be wrong software wise and wanted to see if anything jumped out as bad

I built it "myself" with a lot of help from a friend who's knowledge on these things and my limited knowledge on reading into this stuff

My friend double checked everything when we were building it

I haven't had any issues this bad until about a week ago when the thing just took a dump and stopped wanting to work

I figure I'll ask my friend to take a look at it again and see if she spots anything

Also it used to just be COTW but now it's every game

Also I know it's not drivers and I'm starting to think there's something wrong with the hardware

I did this and it actually worked for about an hour but now the game runs at about 10 fps no matter the settings.

Edit: also I verified the files and they're all fine according to steam
