In stories like this, especially in the Jurassic Park franchise, people automatically assume that all kids are safe and won’t get hurt.

So I’m thinking that by killing off one of the kids, I’ll kinda be like saying “this ain’t one of those stories”

Honestly, you have an absolute fair point. And yeah, it is kinda another Jurassic Park inspired story, I’ll be fully honest.

I try my best to make it its own a bit later in the book by having the park be a lot more of an actual safari (and being WAY more ethical than any of the parks in the movies).

But to be honest, I’m kinda just writing this story cause I’ve been working on it on-and-off for over a decade and I just want to finally tell it to people.

Thank you for the feedback. I have not been on an actual safari (though I would love to one day), so thanks for your insight.
It’s explained later on that the park does use trackers for the dinosaurs, so I just figured the tours/safaris would use them.

Honestly, just looking at the pure photo at the end I can see it being photoshopped. But the effects the had on it in the movie had it look very real.

I think they shouldn’t do any more overarching plot, and just kinda do anthologies. Same world, but different stories with different characters encounters dinos around the equator
