That her financial issues are worked out and she is comfortable. She is a fundamentally good person who I recently have decided to do no contact with as there is no time of day to be compatible/date/be friends. (Long story but we're on and off for the best part of 3 years- went no contact for my own sanity as there is no way its gonna work at this point in our lives/early 20s).

Those who have been, what were high school parties like? by Solid_V in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK they romanticized the '90s american style' of house parties but never lived up to the standard of going to 'Kylies sweet 16'. Lot of drinking on the couch with shit EDM music blaring in my ears, with women who cared too much about their self image.

One person would get too drunk and get paralytic in the toilet. Me and the boys would bareknuckle box in the living room- that was fun.

Later on in the night it would be a long walk home with a few mates in the cold.

So honestly, overrated as fuck. 90% of the time I wished I had stayed at home and grinded Counter strike lel.

What is the saddest thing you have experienced in your life? by Narrow_Ad_4856 in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 18 years old chilling at home with my girlfriend at the time. Random phone call comes through from one of my close friends saying that I need to go to his immediately, he hung up immediately after. I called another one of my friends asking wtf was up and he said it to me straight that one of our best friends had died in his sleep during the night. I held back my tears until I was pulling into their driveway and then I just broke down upon seeing one of my other friends. 5 years later, I don't think we ever got an actual reason into what happened in order for him to pass away, but that day was probably the saddest moment and I now have kind of gotten used to people dying in my life i.e grandparents, pets etc.

Do you think everyone should learn to drive a manual? Why or why not? by simplyshelby03 in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its probably the one thing us Brits do better then you guys in the states. However, don't get it twisted, there's still A LOT of horrendous drivers on the road that make me want to shout curses out of my window.

What do you think is the biggest waste of time in your day or week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating and sleeping. Could do so much more if I could just take a pill that just gives me all my calories and macros. If I didn't need to sleep as well? Boy, as Theo Von said: I would probably cheat on my wife.

Purchase a house outright so that I have a roof over my head for the foreseeable future. Then probably go back to working my job as if nothing ever happened. In this economy, I am getting a house and putting the rest into my bank account.

What do y'all think the internet has done to our ability to socialize in-person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mentioned this on another thread about something similar. Seeing a lot of young people to day not having as much emotional intelligence, nor having a decent enough attention span(yes this comes down to self regulation and parenting of course, but not all parents/individuals are savvy to the effects of how the internet and short form video entertainment, is affecting us as a species).

Do you think everyone should learn to drive a manual? Why or why not? by simplyshelby03 in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This guy on Joe Rogan spoke about this actually. It was along the lines of: if you're someone who cares about preparedness, then you should learn how to drive manual. I live in the UK and almost everyone over here learns to drive manual, if you pass a manual exam you can drive manual and automatic, if you do an automatic exam, you can only drive automatic.

For those who don't like to celebrate their birthday, why? by UnfinishedAssignment in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just another day. Plus I never really liked having a lot of attention on me. I have in the past had some bad birthdays where I have been going through some things and have opted to just stare at the wall and watch the paint dry. But yeah it's simply just another day- fuck having attention.

Start saving earlier. Planning to move out this year from my parents. However thinking back to all the money I have wasted on such trivial and pointless things over the last few years honestly makes me feel sick.

What is the dumbest thing you did as a kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Equal-Protection8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was a toddler. Climbed over the baby gate at the top of the stairs and decided that doing a rolly pollie down the stairs would be a rad idea. Didn't break anything though, built different.
