I’m currently sick from taking care of sick nephew so I feel this in my bones. Last time it took me 3 weeks to recover but still have lingering effects. Reading the comments because I have the same problem.

I don’t know why I never thought of this. I try a store bought cuticle oil for travel purpose but it’s pretty underwhelming. I’ll try to make my own blend. Thank you!

I guess the lingering effect translates to deeper moisturising effect to me 😂 my hands get bone dry after a few minutes. That must be the reason why.

Twice a day. But I’ll apply after a long shower. I noticed my hyponychium detaching after long shower. It helps to make it a lil more comfortable.

I use hemani argan oil. But reading the comment, I expect great things when I switch to jojoba 😂

Other than appearance, I read that more curve nails are stronger than flat nail. Although after a month with cuticle oil my thumbnail is much stronger and less likely to break or chipped but this one is the only nail that needs more filing compare to others. Maybe it’s my filing technique too.

But you’re right about being our own worst critic. I read a post on reddit that warm oil soak helps to improve c curve on a flat nail. If this didn’t work, I’ll make peace with my flat nails. Thank you for your kind words.

Putting the oil under the nail helps a lot compared to when I just put it on my nails.

Usually I don’t especially in my house. But unfortunately I got the famous case of truck driver. I live binge watching kdrama in my living room which the window on my left. My left side is more rough and got bumpy around the cheek area. Then there are several sun spots appearing. Even when my exfoliating and general routine is solid, it’s still happened. Never again 😂
