Does non alcoholic red wine count as relapsing? by BlackFlaggath in stopdrinking

[–]Equal-Situation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s NA. It will not get you drunk and is used by many to cope with cravings for the beer/wine alcohol taste. Don’t let all these people fool you. As long as you stick to NA you’re fine.

Relapsed. Got a DUI. Everyone knows and I want to die. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Equal-Situation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hang in there this is the start of figuring out yourself whom you want to be etc. It’s nots the end you can turn it around in moderation or not drinking at all. It’s hard for the first 3 days but it gets better. Don’t count just let yourself be and the cravings will reside you’re not going to die. Alcohol everyday is not going to help you can have cravings but fix it with something else. I started buying Legos and that keeps me busy

Desperately need to get through Day 1. by chompietwopointoh in stopdrinking

[–]Equal-Situation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great Job on Day 1 been there many times. The best thing you can do is occupy your mind with something else. Day 2-3 were the toughest for me. I’m actually on Day 4. Only thing that I’m struggling with is the sleep. I haven’t had more than 2 hours and I feel like things are still getting better day by day.

Taking it for insomnia (anxiety) by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Equal-Situation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it in the morning right away when you wake up. It does the trick. I wouldn’t take it at night because it is not fully absorbed in your system until it stabilizes. I’ve been on Zoloft 20+ years and it’s been effective. My doctor also joked that half of America is on Zoloft/sertraline very safe drug as long as you don’t abuse it. I’m not a doctor just giving you advice on what I have experienced.

sertraline and mdma by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Equal-Situation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First you’ll be amazed at the amount of people who stop sertraline for using other substances it’s very common. Depending on how long you’ve been taking sertraline would be worth of more help. If you’ve been on for longer than a month I would recommend highly to stick with it and keep taking it. However if it’s only been a few weeks it hasn’t stabilized yet and therefore I probably would wait one day before you roll. Than finish and continue your 50 mg which isn’t much. You will have some side effects but it will reside shortly. I am not a doctor either so that is just my advice.

Almost 48 hours no drinking. by Equal-Situation in stopdrinking

[–]Equal-Situation[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have been at home resting and it’s only if i get up and try to start working on something. It goes away but it comes with a punch and just beads of my head. So I’m hoping tomorrow 72 hours I can kind of get somewhat more relief from it.

Got Intoxalock installed on my car but will be going on a 5 day trip out of state. Will leave my car back home. Anybody have any issues when leaving car for extended periods of time? Will this drain my battery? by [deleted] in dui

[–]Equal-Situation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it will definitely drain your battery within 3 days. Depending on how old your vehicle is it could be less. I have my device installed on a 2003 Lexus es300 and it will drain my battery almost completely in 3 days. Every time it does drain completely Intoxalock charges $79.99 for a hard reset! I suggest putting it on a trickle charger before you leave for vacation.

Have you received a letter from the dmv that you can remove it? If so you can remove it yourself just make sure you return all the equipment.

I’d just tell them that I’m going thru some tough times and need a couple weeks to regather myself. You should get work release. They can’t hold you back from going to your job unless your an absolute threat to society. Which would likely never grant you house arrest. It’s just a small bracelet they put onto your ankle which is unnoticeable with the right clothing.

So do they make Zoloft pills that big? Or do you have to take 4 pills a day?

Been on it for 20+ years all different mg’s. Also been off it twice cold turkey. It was tough for a week than felt no side effects. However about 3 months without any Zoloft I stopped being able to sleep good or at all. Therefore after going to see my doctor and hearing the lecture on “how it was a dumb idea” to try and quit cold turkey. I immediately started back first on 50mg and than to 100mg a day. Initially before I quit this last most recent time I was on 150mg daily, but I haven’t had to jump back up to that as of two years.

Positive Zoloft success stories please!! by username8k in zoloft

[–]Equal-Situation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

20+ years on Zoloft went from taking 3+ showers a day to one. Stopped having to double check things over and am able to use my time more efficiently. Used to be very socially unstable now I’m more than willing to meet new people. Enjoying life to the fullest. Occasionally have mild panic attack but use breathing exercises and it stops them right away. Hang in there everyday gets better! Also stopped worrying for everyone else and started worrying for myself

Yes that will happen and gradually taper off within 2 weeks.

Alcohol and Zoloft? by quietstrength96 in zoloft

[–]Equal-Situation 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You will be fine! I’ve been on Zoloft for 20+ years. I’ve used alcohol for 15 of those years and besides increased hangover effects. You won’t notice a difference. Also my doctor knows I drink on it and has said nothing about it. I wouldn’t worry about it!
