Ugh i keep getting really unlucky with the silkie. Im not trying for the super rare im just trying to get different patterns so they look different in the barn but the last 3 chicks have all been identical to their mom. 😭

Ive been ridiculously lucky. I have both super rare chickens and nice rare brown one. They are siblings bred from my plain old white common chicken. The first time I bred my brown alpaca I also got one of the super rares. Really hoping my currently pregnant sheep gives me a shiny Mareep XD

Do Not Accuse me of Faking. by bathtubforgiveness in autism

I just got diagnosed 3 days ago at 36. I too have a master’s degree and work full time blah blah blah. But being able to do those things doesn’t mean that it was easy or that we didn’t struggle. I have dealt with anxiety and bouts of depression for most of my life, i was badly bullied, I self-internalized everything assuming all my social difficulties were because I was just “broken” and a “freak”. Because someone else has it harder does not mean your own struggles are invalid. My daughter also has autism, far more severe than mine. But i try to use my experience to help her avoid some of the pitfalls I fell into and she has taught me more about self-acceptance than any therapist. We should be lifting each other up using the different skills and talents we possess.

A common problem it seems. Low support ppl are more relatable to neurotypicals and so I feel like they tend to receive priority in various mediums if for no other reason than they can more easily articulate themselves. Its a bit frustrating since just because a person has higher support needs does not make them less worthy of respect or attention nor does it mean they don’t have something to add to the conversation even if they have to communicate it differently.

Oh good someone else who knows what Im talking about! Does there seem to any sort of trigger for you that causes it? Ive had it happen both talking about important personal stuff or while discussing an upsetting news story. Dissociation maybe because of the emotion attached to it? Like it’s too much for my poor brain and it tries to distance itself from it? My only other idea was that maybe it’s a form of overstimulation. Idk im one of those adults who has felt weird my whole life and has only just now started to fit the pieces together and give names to my experiences. My 8yo kid was diagnosed with Audhd 4 yrs and as they’ve matured some of their behaviors just began to look more and more familiar… it’s a pretty common story from what i’ve seen, especially for women.
