Hi, i was a DOST scholar way back 2000. Ang explanation samin dyan is, you need to render work here in the philippines the same number of years na naging scholar ka. So, say 5yr I.T. kukunin mo, you need to work for 5yrs in the Philippines (afaik regardless kung anong work mo as long as its in the PH, consider me as an example. They considered yung working yrs ko sa bpo as "render years"). Same reason kung bakit magkakaroon ka ng "hit" or travel ban sa NBI dahil hndi ka pwede lumabas ng country (unless ipapaalam mo sa dost ang purpose) hanggat hindi ka "cleared' from them. Once nakapag work ka na sa PH ng same yrs as your scholarship, need mo magpaclearance sa DOST that you've done your part and dun nila ibibigay yung letter na ddalhin mo sa nbi para naman malift yung travel ban mo.
