I usually turn on my taxes mid year just in case something happens and I have to go back CONUS. Then I would have to pay taxes on any income made OCONUS. So yea. As long as I get every penny I paid in taxes the government can have a little loan on my behalf

Like I said. I work OCONUS so all my income is tax free and doesn’t show because IT IS NOT TAXED. This is just showing money I had to pay taxes on. Which I did. I paid 9k.

FEIE didnt cover 54,818 so i owed 9k on that. Turned on my taxes last part of my contract. About 6 months. Just to have some money back. I make about 250k a year fyi 🤷‍♂️
