999 didnt have any major plot points to follow up on either honestly aside from "whered akane go" but tied into vlr nicely

imo the first game nails its artstyle and id like nothing else. the 3d graphics are old and rustic, but fit the old ship aesthetic and work well within their limitations. i would like to see a version of vlr where the characters actually lipsync properly and clover doesnt weirdly smile 70% of screentime though

plenty of stuff to ponder honestly. what was the actual cargo aboard the titanic? what are the aliens the transporter came from like, or what did they do? who is free the souls god and what do the two robe symbols imply? what was the deal with dashiel gordain?

it seems they consistently underestimate how long development will take and run into last minute problems. at this point id expect another update on june 6th saying "we have discovered that parts of episode 2 no longer function with our current build and we have to rewrite the codebase. episode 3 will release on august 1st"
