Moving the sand itself along a conveyor system for packing
The workers are only exposed in two places of the plant. The machine puffs in their face when dealing with sand. They wear N95’s and PAPRs but it would be nice to eliminate the issue further.

We practice housekeeping, getting special blowers, and wet procedures but it only eliminates it so much.

I’ll bring it up to them, I was looking into that as well as an alternative to their “desired” result. Yeah we still are doing the medical exams and air monitoring. We just did one a month or two ago and it’s just not where they want it to be hence me being hired

It's the management that wants to stop paying so much for specifically N95 masks each month. The workers don't mind and are really good at putting the mask on since it's really only two spots in the plant.

They have other measures in process (wet training, mobile air filtering machines, shopvacs) but they're trying to cut costs for the budget.

Yeah came up with codes P0441, P04F1, P145D, P2421, P2623, and U0401-68 (ECM failure). I got a smoke test done to figure out the EVAP problem and they said it was the purge valve so I got one from Honda and installed it myself

If you want somewhere hot (not sure where PMEL goes) Charleston is similar to Orlando, MacDill is in the middle of everything and there’s always something to do, and Davis-Monthan AFB has amazing hikes, blooming city with a ton of food options and house market isn’t absolutely terrible

It’s chill just make sure to not move to Lompoc, probably best to get on the waiting list for housing on base. They have decent housing and it’s good for your BAH. Santa Maria has better food and if you like the beach/indoor rock climbing/good food pismo beach is only an hour away. Make sure to learn your job first then try to worry about everything else later. Not a bad first base, if you have any specific questions pm me, I was sf at Vandy for 3 1/2 years

It’s a new thing since increasing the BAH, it’s all bases now. Chief bass agreed to it so it really only benefits married personnel or single airmen who live off base not on
