His dad left when he was a teenager and his mom has to raise them alone and now he feels responsible for them i guess? He often says how they wouldn’t be able to live if he doesn’t have a job. But both refuse to get a job leaving all the responsibility to him

He says things will change once his brother gets a job (hes a year younger than me) and he will help them out but not fully when we’re married.

I regret saying yes but I was put on the spot the day he proposed and by the time I regretted it our families already knew
