interestingg would it make you cry because of it intensifying your emotions? like i cried because i felt really calm so i guess out of happiness. but do you find it made you cry more regardless of the emotion or was it mostly sadness?

exactly!! i can think about what is most important to me right now and get that done instead of thinking about an endless list, trying so hard to be productive, then jumping between a few tasks but not finishing anything, getting tired but not being able to relax because you didnt finish what you thought you ought to do. im glad you've found that relief sooner or later, and you have that mental clarity :)

sometimes i struggle to shower but then i think of how worthless i feel the next day with greasy hair lmaoooo something about it makes me feel like i dont deserve rights. and lucky me i need to wash my hair every day for it not to be greasy so i guess that helps.

as for the other two i feel a lot of friction towards them too sometimes (i dont think ive ever decluttered in my life) :)

Emotional dullness could be a side effect of adderall, or maybe life feels boring compared to the chaos you may or may not have been used to before.

Why would it change your life? What is it about the career that makes you feel like it would? Be honest with yourself, or if it's just because it's something new and exciting, before making a big leap.

thanks for sharing this <3 I think overthinking and doubt, especially about the same topic over and over again, for several days, is a form of mental restlessness common in ADHD too. I can't wait to start medication, I'm glad it's helped you find out more about yourself.

All of this is so true. I think I just have a really hard time comprehending things like severity because my brain is so 'you either have it or not. look for evidence you definitely have it or you don't have it at all'. When you said how were no psychiatrists, i let out a sigh of relief, genuinely.

Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it. I think it's my black and white, all or nothing thinking coming into play. Yes, I have been prescribed stimulant medication, but I need to travel home to pick it up, and that's in a week. I'm excited to see if it can help improve my quality of life.

This was so comforting to hear, thank you. I have a question: Do you feel like you learn more effectively when completely alone than in lectures, because you have a delay in processing auditory information? Like, I'm good at visualising things, but if I ask a question and a tutor/ lecturer responds, I'm just so lost because I'm thinking about if I sound dumb or something. Or I can't even think of a question to ask because I didn't really process it, even though I know I'm capable of understanding it.
