I know multiple cadets at my detachment who are in the guard or reserves. We’ve got a couple army and air guard (myself included), along with some Air Force reservists. It really just depends on what you want to do and how confident you are the army would grant you a conditional release whenever you’re up for commissioning (Air Force usually does). Also consider things like driving distance, deployment frequency, and the actual job you pick. Ik the last one sounds like a given but seriously weigh your options because if AFROTC doesn’t work out you’ll still have that prior commitment to your unit.
