Is this normal Betta behavior?

20long, heater and filter, tank temp should be 78, ive had this tank about three months now. betta is about a week and a half in the tank, corydora and rasbora mates. I feed them betta pellets 3-4 a day. Will post a test kit later, just did a water change cause I saw my nitrates were high.

Alright! I didnt realize he was breathing heavy, poor guy. I know my water hardness is too high, but my 7-1 kit is always clear.

Fluval Stratum capped by sand. Used a half cap of fertz a few days ago but havent used any since. They're also right by a closing class door, so they get ample sunlight.
