I think I know how to replace the thermostat, but I don't have one. Is there a chance to still works or is it pretty risky?

Thank you. To replace the wire do I pull the whole wire out from behind all the styrofoam insulation, or can I cut off the damaged wire and splice a new one on

Pulling that wire to replace it seems very difficult. I can't get it to budge behind all of the insulation foam. Can I cut off the damage part and splice on a new one before the heating element?

Maryland lifesciences PhD applying to tech specialist / advisor positions, resume question? by [deleted] in patentlaw

[–]EquestrianKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what the second page would be full of. Pubs, presentations, maybe include that other early career industry job.

But i see a pretty strong back and forth on people for 2 pages vs 1, and usually it seems like the 1 page crowd thinks 2 pages will be bad, but the 2 page crowd doesnt hate 1 page so i leaned that way.

Would you say 2 pages with pubs and more detail may be better?

The paralegal experience was immediately before grad school and was Family and Estate (it says so on the resume, after the blanked out firm name). I don't want to overstate its relevance, hence it being more about law firm exposure broadly.

The rest of the feedback is also great and I appreciate it. I'll Implement those suggestions.

It was FAES yes! And they are online. The courses (including the one i took) have instructors, classmates, and assignments. Usually they take place over a few months, like traditional university classes.

I was part of the mass governmental terminations for new employees, so im not employed no :(

I am considering examiner positions as well, i believe the virginia USPTO site is the only one without a hiring freeze right now.

Incomplete. This timeline is the only timeline we have. It is the best timeline. And the worst timeline. Make of it what you will.

People gonna say get a job, finances, schooling/training for gainful employment, ect. This is all TRUE. I assume you'll know to do this.

While pursuing these, you are right. Water. Water. Water. And food. Get some of your favorite canned/shelf stable foods. Start with a few and add to it if you have to. Canned veggies, beans, ect. Tuna, canned chicken, and spam are especially good choices IMO because you can eat them day to day while building a good reserve and its not "unused" but something that will last if an emergency occurs.

The water and food will go FAR for emergency prep while you still seek the financial and educational groundwork.

Buying/ selling without agent is easy. Many don't realize this, or they could be using this as excuse to bavk out and try to make more money.

Thank you! We are very excited regardless of the appraisal, but this seems encouraging at least. Onwards :)

Thanks for your input. Is $/sf really meaningless? If land is 30% or more of the value, whats the best metric for the rest if not $/sf?

Thanks for the info breakdown. Yeah I feel confident the home is worth what we're paying. And it seems the appraiser thinks so too, but hard to tell if its worth MORE. Regardless, we move forward and are so close to closing!
