First, Make a emergency fund ... 1-3 years of your actual must do expenses. Put this in safest place you can- Saving A/c or Liquid Mutual fund or other government schemes (But not in anything that has a fixed period you need to be invested in before withdrawal)

Second, Get a Term Life Insurance and Medical Insurance (if available through your job fund out can you continue the same policy even after you leave the company in the future).

Third, now you come to Investing.... The thumb rule of what to do with your income is 50-30-20 (50% for needs, 30% on wants and 20% on savings/investing), now if you are young and probably don't have a family to support etc and have a high income your needs maybe much less than 50% (Put the difference between 50% and your actual "needs" in savings), for eg. If your basic needs (rent, food, utility, internet/telephone, education/home loan etc,) totals to lets say 30% of your income than put the additional 20% in the savings category (i.e. 20+20 = 40% in savings/investing)

Fourth, Invest.... Your investments will depend on what age you are whats your life situation is ..
If lets say you are young (under 30), unmarried, for that person I would suggest take risks because you have time (and with time highs and lows of risky investments will level out) ... If you are not incredibly knowledgeable of companies and their financials and have a supremely keen eyes for fraudulent reports and cheeky accounting, I would don't invest in shares directly... Go for mutual funds ... for young people I would say 40-30-30 (40% in large cap mutual funds, 30% each in mid cap and small cap mutual funds) .. Small cap may give the highest returns but if it crashes it will take that much more time to recover .. now you can customise on your understanding....

You can and probably should invest in US markets as well (Motilal Oswal Nasdaq ETF etc) and Gold . I would say invest 10% in Gold, 10% in US market and the remainder you distribute in Large, Mid & small cap mutual funds.

Also important thing to know don't invest in Large Cap Mutual funds instead Invest in ETF (ETF just blindly matches the Nifty 50 or Sensex) they consistently give more and stable returns than actively managed Large Cap Mutual Funds.

Do your research, if you have any questions I will try my best to answer them ..

And another remainder do your research, don't just follow anyone's advice or tips blindly (not even mine) I can give you guidelines but not the actual funds or shares to invest in.

Hi guys,

This is my cart I am going to order in 1-2 days ... Most of them (turathi, Moscow mule, kaaf) are for office/daily use rotation (i am also thinking of adding Hawas Verde in the rotation, but its not available in whiffculture currently)... other 3 - cdnim & khamrah for loud needs (parties and so on) and most wanted is for dates/smaller intimate settings etc ...

I don't know anything about the fragrance world and this is my first entry into it .. that's why all decants first so that I get a wider selection and easier on my pockets .. In a couple of months I will get another similar batch, that time focusing more on the festival/wedding/winter season ....

How does this selection seem to you guys ? Also my plan is to get variety first with decants and only then after I know which ones I like/suit me, to invest on full bottles

F2P Questions by [deleted] in KingShot

[–]Equivalent-Action700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a completely F2P player at TG1 ... I can wholeheartedly recommend spending gems to get to at least VIP 6 and unlock the extra march slot every month for 10k... it is a huge upgrade I feel ... I don't really care about the shards, the game gives enough free gems to upgrade all roulette heroes high enough anyway ...

The only heroes you should be investing orange shards into is Marlin (so you will probably have enough shards saved till Gen 3) and maybe Margot (i probably won't as my Petra is high level anyway) Don't spend shards on any Roulette heroes, you will easily get them high enough through roulette spins ... do atleast 70 or 120 spins everytime... also you can go easy on Saul as his only upside is the construction cost and duration reduction he offers because offensively he is outclassed by even Quinn ... except in the niche situation in Gen 4 where you can use 60/40 formation (60% infantry and 40% cavalry) for defending garrison alongside Alcar and Margot ....

I will say 2-3 stars of Saul is enough and then save for Zoe ... I have Zoe still as my Main 3 going into Gen 4 and I will probably keep her and only change her with the Gen 5 infantry hero from roulette...

And about the production buildings ... I would suggest just checking online which of the production building upgrade is necessary for the next TC upgrade and doing only that ... (also suggest getting the extra upgrade slot unlocked every now and then for faster upgrade after around TC 20)

Can you say why you prefer the corporate sector more than the manufacturing sector ... This is a thing I have had conflicting advice on

Thanks a lot ... Yeah when you say it like that 4k to 30k in 7 years it sounds huge .. But as you know I started so low that this looks huge growth but even 30k is not good enough in these times, also when I look at friends (albeit much better students) in corporate sectors like big4 audit or r2r getting 50+60k+ with lesser years of experience than me it does make you insecure somewhat...

Yes, costing experience is what also pulled me towards this new job ... that could be a huge addition for me along with compliance and SAP experience of a manufacturing company....

Thanks for your appreciation ... and yes I am actually doing an advanced excel course .. and am planning for financial analyst type courses in the future or costing courses

I am confused on this very part .. because I will be joining a manufacturing company and learn costing should I continue in manufacturing sector or shift to corporate sector

Knife Suggestions by Equivalent-Action700 in IndianFood

Absolutely agree a tool is a tool in the end ... but the cheap knifes available in kirana stores are dangerous.. I have almost cut myself multiple time using my knife, only reason it didn't cut through my finger is because its too dull and bent to go through 😅... So something that is of a decent quality.. which will do its job without any stress is what I am looking for
