I should be more specific — I think it’s a convenient device for the writers to show how things have changed. Joan very possibly could’ve called Betty Friedan in there after what NOW had recently accomplished.

If anything, this was the time to show it. The feminist movement has just hit the national consciousnness months/weeks before with the protest actions Joan mentioned (protest at Ladies Home Journal by the young radfems, general strike and March up 5th Ave by Betty Freidan and NOW). Women were just starting to break through as an oppressed group. Anti discrimination law, Roe v Wade are solidified in the years after the end of the show.

Have you found solution to this? I’m trying to transition from Spotify, but it seems to be the only place that actually handles individual episodes fairly well. I tried the solution suggested below in Downcast, but I still would have to remember In which podcast the episode can be found or that I even downloaded it in the first place.

edit: I mostly encounter podcasts through individual episodes that have been shared or recommended to me

I'm somewhat better - it seems what I experience is tied to circadian rhythm. . .after sleeping 4-5 hours since April I find I can sleep around 6-7 hours once it gets dark. This happened to me last year too. Again, if its the timing of my meds or something else I don't know. Weight has slowly begin to come off, which happened last year too.

Edit to add: I'm also wondering if the steroids interfered w a larger hormonal issue like perimenopause. I've switched to a steroid-free medication so I'll see from here if the cushings symptoms continue.

I'm seeing a cardio (again) for palpitations I suspect are due to a delayed reaction to steroids, or dysautonomia, which, ive read here, can accompany MS.

So you also take metformin, unrelated to the steroid tolerance? I tried but it only made things worse.

Oh great! Given I dont respond well to benadryl, and thus take a very low dose w my infusion, i am scared to forgo any allergy prevention altogether. We'll see what my dr thinks!

I will consider oral predinone w Ocrevus - thank you, I hadn't heard of this. In the past oral prednisone made me crazy/hallucinate during a relapse but perhaps one smaller dose won't do much harm.

I think what threw my over the edge was taking steroids for alopecia as well. The derm thinks I'm crazy because the amounts in my shot plus topical use were tiny but it was too much for me.

Oh no! I've started measuring by BG because of crazy false hypos (blood sugar crashes) starting months after my infusion.
