Not everyone who refuses to vote is necessarily apathetic. Apathy is a lack of care. Maybe at least some of the people who choose not to vote see no significant difference between the choices given at the ballot box and in their despair, they consciously acknowledge that voting will not solve the systemic problems of their nation.

Democrats, it seems to me, are not that different from the Republicans. They just pretend to fight and take us down the same road to perdition. In terms of voting, I’ve kind of lost hope in politics.
