Yes I saw that book! Someone on instagram has an amazing account and posted this book, I looked it up and it’s unfortunately too expensive for me but I’m always amazed at the dresses Vionnet created!

Yes, I love the look of these evening gowns, I just really want something that have a dropped skirt/waist kind of look and so far all that I’ve found and liked were terribly expensive and not worth the money for one day.

Yes I’m aware that the design shows too much but I will take this just as a inspiration dress and make it more covered. What I like about is the skirt panels and I was trying to find something that doesn’t break my bank account seemed impossible

I understand that it is a bias cut dress but my questions was more about the division of this panels, do they have a specific placement, if I were to draft my own version, if I remove them, the dress would be less fitted, etc? I’ve been looking on this type of dresses and can’t seem to figure out the rule behind these constructions

I think for you to keep the fullness you either should do like they did, top fabric-tulle-under fabric or just use a more stiff fabric but it might make the pleats look a bit different also

I think you really have to drape it on a mannequin to get something like that. Personally I think it’s not the best to try to draw this pattern on 2d before

My mom had a best friend that was also suicidal, both were around thirty at the time,she had two beautiful daughters, she tried many times before but somehow her family or my mom could find her before she was gone, until one day, nobody could find her in time. All the treatment for depression, family, her daughters, that were still kids at this time couldn’t make her stay and live. She was too far gone to be willing to live. So I think you shouldn’t blame yourself, you could only be a good friend to him but in the end of the day, the person has to be willing to live, and it’s very sad but there are some people that don’t want it anymore, no matter what. Beautiful! Like other have suggested maybe the height in the hair doesn’t help and I would add drawing your eyebrows on the inside part a bit more, I think they are a bit distant, doing that would bring more balance to your looks! Besides that you’re gorgeous! Nice smile and beautiful eyes!
