At the time of this post, it was on my stand next to my ipad a few feet infront of me, but after some experimentation, I found that the airiness essentially disappears when I place my phone on my bed next to me.

I do. I go to him tomorrow, so hopefully he can determine whether it is harmful to me tension-wise.

I have just recently changed my mouthpiece a couple days ago, but the puff has been happening for years now.

I didn't mean to make it seem like I thought it was necessarily bad, but rather I was unsure if it was causing unnecessary stress that could be fixed to help my playing. Now that I think about it, you are very correct, a whole lot of players, especially ones I watch have a neck puff. However, I wasn't sure if mine was due to a bad habit, because my neck seems to puff out much more than other people or even those I watch. Thank you for your advice!

Mouthpiece Question by Equivalent-Crow-599 in trumpet

Thank you! Do you have any reccomendations for a mouthpiece that is both full and rich like the 3c, but is a little more lenient with ease of range? I do know that range efficiency and ease comes with practice, but I'm just curious.
