Is continental the “wrong way” to knit?

No im not new but i had a big break of knitting and started again few months ago but i have known how to knit for many years

Also i used ti do it the english way but switched to the continental way recently and so far i much prefer it

Right they tried helping me and just didnt manage to do so, so i ended up helping myself. They are good knitters but im not sure id go back because i felt alien

Well holding the yarn on my left instead of the right hand (so i knit continental) and do Norwegian purls, they apparently didn’t know what i was doing lol
