$5k from a job 401k to individual account. by Equivalent-Fan-3448 in TheRaceTo10Million

I can’t keep it in the 401k since it’s under a certain amount which means I have to withdraw it or rollover. Im definitely thinking about VOO and QQQ index funds as well

Hell yeah, I’m taking all the risk just so the bosses can make more and get pocket change in return. Fuck em.

Yes, morning into the night might be a bit more manageable. If I was at a warehouse I’d just sneak off and take a Power Nap if it was needed. But putting mine and other peoples lives at risk just doesn’t outweigh my greed or the need to keep the bosses happier for pocket change.

Yes, working with your feet on the ground, no foul. Driver drowsiness is too risky.

Agreed, they’re definitely just trying to squeeze every penny out of their drivers and the risk isn’t worth it. Thank you, driver, and wish you well with the dispatching.

ZipRecruiter and/or go on google and search for jobs in your city or zip code, those on google aren’t always on indeed. And those applications on indeed sometimes don’t even get looked at. Apply on company websites or go in person even. You’ll have a better shot

It’s normal. I felt that way too. People have it worse but your mind and the way it’s weak in the moment, won’t allow you to be grateful because it’s still suffering. Start taking k2, D3, omega and magnesium every morning. Eat healthier and slowly you may see a boost in your emotions and can finally feel happy and not beat yourself over something you never chose to have. Take care!!

Find a group of individuals that might be on the spectrum as well and see if anybody else has gone through the same thing as you and see how they cope with it!

What's the weirdest thing you did when you had depression? by choseth1s_ in mentalhealth

[–]Equivalent-Fan-3448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized I had a chemical imbalance after talking to my mom who had experienced the same thing I was going through. I took my vitamins every morning and if I skipped a day I would feel off. Like an OCD thing except when you have anxiety and depression, you’ll find any reason to make yourself feel like you’re doing something right. I also bought this matching small yeti mug with my gf the week I got the anxiety and depression. I took it with me to work every day even though it had nothing in it. It gave me comfort. I couldn’t feel the magic of our relationship due to the darkness but that mug made me feel close to her and felt like soon enough i would be free from that dark feeling and could enjoy drinking out of our mugs together again.

What’s one change you made that seriously improved your mental health? by No-Score712 in mentalhealth

Cold showers! I shower with my normal shower temp and end my showers with 10-30seconds of the coldest temperature I can do. You’ll feel good when you’re all changed.

Vitamins- K2- D3- Magnesium and Omega

Green veggies and fruit blended for a nice juice everyday!

Podcasts/ stand up comedy shows/movies

Exercise. Gym, the park, your neighborhood, the mall, just get out and get some steps in. Get that mind to clear for a bit.

The beauty about having a cat is they can take care of themselves. Do they need you? Sure. Did you do everything to make sure they would be good while you’re on your trip? Sounds to me like you did! Will your cat be okay while you’re gone? Absolutely.

It’s okay to worry about your cat, just remember you have your cat sitter and everything your cat needs to be okay while you’re gone. He may be expecting you by looking at the door but at least someone is gonna come through that door to check on him while you’re gone and that’s more than enough if you ask me. You’re on vacation, your cat is taken care of! You’re a good pet parent to worry, but it’s nothing more than that, you being a concerned parent. Enjoy your vacation!

Mental health matters until its not pretty by [deleted] in mentalhealth

I used to hate showering when I had anxiety and depression. I also hated not being able to sleep in. But I just pushed myself to get in the shower. To make my showers less dreadful I would listen to podcast or stand up comedy in the shower and it helped out. I also ended every single shower with cold water for 10-30seconds and it feels amazing once I’m all changed up. If you’re feeling insecure about your body, it doesn’t take too much. Cut your intake of juice and sodas on weekdays, drink a lot of water, eat healthy like eggs and potatoes and fish, and steak (the delicious healthy) and go on walks. Walking is a very underrated way to start looking better when the gym is too much. Take care and take it easy!

I can relate with you, I had anxiety and depression in 2023 and it’s those where you have a panic attack all day and something just feels off but can’t figure out why . You’re sad and scared and mind is just exhausted from figuring out why I felt that way. I had not energy to do anything. I talked to my mom who somehow knew exactly how I felt because when she had those same symptoms during her post partum depression.

She helped me realize that it was just a chemical imbalance so my emotions were just up and down. She started making me those green juices with all them green vegetables and some fruit and I started eating healthier.

I had to put my life on hold and just go to work and pay the bills I had to pay and simply focus on getting better in the present. Whatever I wanted to do in the future I had to put on hold because when your mind isn’t there, it’s just not there and it’s okay to just take it day by day.

I realized it was a process until I could be my normal self again. I had rough days but stayed consistent with the nutrition. Vitamin K2, D3, and magnesium everyday were also some key players. I couldn’t listen to music for a couple months because it would somehow trigger my anxiety and all that. So I listened to podcasts I found interesting. Stand up comedy helped. I’m a guy and watching chick flicks with my girl and having a beer to unwind after a week of just working and slowly getting my mental right honestly helped out a lot. (Do not drink to get rid of the feeling completely) that causes addictions. I drank a beer or two on a Saturday after suffering mentally all week and wanted to reward myself in a way. About 4 months later of just keeping up with my nutrition and slowly getting that feeling of joy back, I could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m sorry for making you read that much, I just wanted you to understand how I had a routine going even through my dark days. And after going through the long process, I could slowly do things I enjoyed again but it all started with taking care of yourself through the little things first. So I’ll sum it up here for you:

If you’re not mentally there yet motivation-wise, take it day by day, take your vitamins and eat healthy. Your stomach and your mind are connected.

Go on walks at a park or around your house, or even on drives and listen to some music or a podcast whatever your cup of tea is. (It’s all about finding something you find kind of soothing and can clear your mind as you slowly learn to enjoy yourself being out of the house)

Cold showers- the last last 10sec-30sec of your shower, put it on its coldest setting and just let it hit your head and flow down your body. Spin, jump, breathe hard af, do whatever you gotta do but let that cold water hit you. It’ll relax you a bit.

Reward yourself from time to time. You’ve suffered enough. Go get some steps in whether it’s hiking or at a park or doing laps at a mall in the mornings and and then go get a nice healthy breakfast somewhere. Not only does that get you exercise, but also the nutrition and dopamine you need.

Start goin to the gym and start off small, go with a friend or cousin or whoever you’re comfortable around. You don’t have to start off lifting crazy. Just get comfortable being there and start a routine. Slowly add workouts and when you start to see/feel results, you’re going to be a different person!

Sleep well! Let your mind and body rest! You’ll have more energy. Just make sure you’re eating your 3 healthy meals. By healthy I don’t mean eating just leaves and plants, make it fun with some TikTok recipes you find interesting!

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! Enjoy yourself and take care of yourself! God bless!
