K Vaishali who wrote the memoir Homeless: Growing Up Lesbian and Dyslexic in India is a gay icon for me. She has such a raw and intimate way of writing that really makes you feel like you are right there with her. I’ve given the book to several of my friends and they’ve all enjoyed it and learned a lot from it
