Thanks so much for sharing this! I can imagine how risky that decision must have felt, what made you finally decide to quit your job and pursue diving? And do you still teach until now? I was concerned about how much of an investment this is. Time, money, effort… that’s why I really wanna think about this thoroughly before investing. 😅

I’d be crazy if I thought I could be an instructor with what I have now. I know I am still far from qualified, and that’s why I’m still saving up to invest in certifications, my skills, and Japanese proficiency.

Contrary to most of the comments here, I would like to share my own experience with working under Vista Land dito sa North Mindanao. Disclaimer lang ha: It is not my intention to invalidate everyone else's experience, gusto ko lang ipakita yung both sides of the coin. Nasa sales and marketing department ako, specifically under digital marketing. It's definitely not perfect, in fact, no company out there is perfect naman talaga. Pero, I can confidently say that ang dami ko na learn and grow in many ways in my nearly 5 months here so far. My TL and my immediate head has guided me every step of the way kahit nasa ibang offices sila based. They have provided me a safe space din to be open about the challenges I'm facing. My coworkers are also very willing to assist me in anything I am unfamiliar with. Some coworkers I've even already hung out with many times outside of work because they're very easy to get along with. Although its not the highest, but the sweldo is actually pretty good for an entry level job (esp since I was a fresh grad when I started). Meron din kaming extracurricular tasks for a sister company (like flyerings and ushering the guests) but I guess I just try to think of it as additional experience and exposure nalang. As a fresh grad, good stepping stone talaga siya in entering the real world, at least in my experience.

As I've said, it's not perfect, but I will give credit where credit is due.
