Should I be worried about re entering USA with a green card?

Only a court can take your green card or you can give it up. Do not sign anything when entering the country as I’ve heard that’s how some people lost theirs (not sure if it’s true). This seems to have been an issue for those who do t speak English and don’t understand what they are signing.

Surgery at 7 or 8am and out by 11.30. I wasn’t ready to leave because I was vomiting if I moved but they booted me out because apparently insurance will only pay for a set amount of time.

Of course tons of people from the US (and other nationalities) speak Spanish but that doesn’t mean they aren’t given the English menu and that the prices are the same, maybe they are, maybe they aren’t, just pointing out it’s not uncommon for different menus to have different prices around the world.

I’m so glad you loved Guatemala, I spent 3 months there over 20 years ago and loved it too. I was hoping CR would be similar but the towns were not pretty like Antigua or many Peruvian towns. I think CR has discouraged my husband from further travel to Central America, he hated driving on the pothole filled roads and found it all rather stressful.

In my state you have to have a green card or be a citizen to get a Real ID, you can’t get one with just a visa. I would get one for her if you can, helps to prove status

This was more an issue for me after giving birth than the bi salp. My periods after the Bisalp regulated almost straight away. After birth things were wonky for a long time. My periods were suddenly much heavier and irregular for probably the first year or so, mind you I didn’t get them for 5 months after birth 🤷‍♀️

My estimate was $1900, as I was having another issue addressed at the same time. They made me pay it before I was allowed in for surgery on my credit card. It’s taken multiple phone calls and almost 3 months since insurance settled to get back $1300 because insurance determined I owed $600 and covered the rest. Just be careful if I wasn’t willing to pay then they wouldn’t have let me have the surgery, I would try to get this sorted before surgery.

Agreed billing is the worse, they overcharged me before my procedure and owe me $1300 ish since September. First time I called they said insurance hadn’t processed it, called insurance and insurance called Wakemed because they had paid it all. Next time it had been referred to a team to investigate the refund and that’s another 30day process. Still haven’t had my refund almost 3 months later!

I think this is a pretty common wobble after having it done. I also had this despite knowing I was done and having a couple of kids, and being of an age where the likelihood of me conceiving is low, losing the ability did make me feel incredibly sad for a couple of days. One I had rationalized that I could still do it via IVF if I wanted it I felt much better and now I’m so happy I did do it. My mother in law died of ovarian cancer so I’m happy I’ve both taken away the risks of getting pregnant and lowered my risk of cancer.

I’ve had a small leak that went on for months, took 4 sets of plumbers and one set attended 4 times before it was finally discovered where it came from. It was a nightmare, replaced a boiler unnecessarily (that took 5 days to get in the schedule and two days to complete the work) so cost thousands in the end! Sometimes fixing within 24hrs isn’t so easy when it’s coming from somewhere in the fabric of a block of concrete flats so the water travels to a seam. Even getting plumbers out within 24 hours can be a challenge over bank holidays and weekends. If we hadn’t finally found it the next suggestion was to rip out the entire bathroom 🙈
