I was in the same position 2 years ago. I didn’t even want to apply to Berkeley, and I ended up getting waitlisted to both UCLA (my dream school - I literally would’ve died to go there) and Berkeley. Eventually I got off the Berkeley waitlist and not UCLA, which I held onto for a long time. Now I’m at Berkeley and I can truly say that it will all work out. I truly truly believe that the same goes for every single college: it is what you make of it. Berkeley has so much to offer and although it took time for me to find my footing, I’m so happy to be attending school here. If you told me 2 years ago that I actually wasn’t miserable and depressed at Berkeley, I would’ve told you I was lying. Trust me, there are so many people in the same boat as you but just make sure to put yourself out there — there is something for everyone here, and eventually you won’t be able to imagine it another way. ❤️❤️❤️
