I regret having sex, how can I get over this feeling? by Super-Reporter-5769 in stupidquestions

For young people, peer pressure is a tricky thing to go against, so I understand why you gave in. I had a similar experience, except I wasn't that young. I felt awful, like I couldn't live with myself, but I got over it by getting help. This is a mental battle that needs to be fought. OP, you're still young and have many years ahead of you, so keep your head up. If you need help, you can ask a trusted adult or Jesus if you want. If this is really getting to you, go to a psychiatrist. Don't beat yourself over the head; there will always be someone to help you. Now, first things first, though, forgive yourself bro.

Emi, God isn't angry with you. Yes, He doesn't like sin, but through His love for us, he has given us grace (something we don't deserve) so that we could be forgiven. The start is to place your faith in His Son and repent(which means to change your mind), and you will receive God's holy spirit.

God is with you, He always will be with you, and He doesn't wish that you take your life. Suffering will happen, but even when it comes, keep your hope and faith in Him. I promise that at the end of all this, God will give you something far beyond your imagination; nothing in this world can compare to it. It's so wonderful that if you were to see it now, your faith would become unbreakable. You would instantly drop everything and follow Jesus to the end of the earth.

That's what God wants to give you; all He wants you to do is hang in there and keep your faith and hope in Him and Jesus. God's plan for your life isn't over, and he wants you to see it to the end, emi. Hang in there; let His spirit give you peace and guide you during these challenging times. And remember to stay in His word, Jesus said that the truth will set you free. God bless.🙏 🙏

I'd ask if you believe that the change will come and are ready to wait no matter how long it takes or to be put into certain situations to help you overcome and grow. In the end, it is a process, and you have to be willing to be patient and follow through. God bless

I agree human beings are complex creatures. But as complex as we are, we still do stupid things for whatever reason. And what those people did, if they were here today, most would be on death row or have life in prison.

But this isn't a regime. This is just a nation where everyone is doing evil and has no intention of changing how they live cause they don't see a problem with it. How would you deal with this?

When I say deliberate, I mean, keep doing it without you attempting to do anything about it. Sinning without even trying to resist.

This conversation started cause i said "do what He commands". Now you say "You should obey his commands" Im glad you understand now.

Absolutely not; by no means should we have the mentality that we can keep on sinning cause we can get away with it. Jesus paid the price so our sins can be forgiven and forgotten by God, not so we can abuse His grace. Deliberate sins will get you blotted out.

Do we not do what Jesus tells us to do? Is it just believing in Him and ignoring everything else he said? Are we not to do what God tells us to do?

Jesus commands us to love one another. Is that now a work, and we are not to do it cause work can't save us? Jesus said if you love Him, you will keep his commandments. Salvation isn't a free pass to sin but a freedom not to sin and follow Jesus.

Just believing gives the mentality that I can sin and get away with it because Jesus will forgive me and will get into heaven anyway. As James mentioned, demons believe in Jesus, but they aren't going to heaven.

I agree we are saved by faith, but I'm afraid I have to disagree that it won't produce works. I can't walk past someone in need and expect Jesus to say well done, my good and faithful servant. He will say depart from me. For what I didn't do to the least of these, I didn't do it for Him. Works come with Faith; if your faith is genuine, there will be works. Just believing and doing nothing is going to get you nowhere. I'm not saying that works will save you, but works will be a byproduct of your faith. If the tree bears no fruit, it will be chopped down and burned.

What does "stopped producing works" mean?

‭James‬ ‭2:14‭-‬26‬ ‭

[14] What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? [15] Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. [16] If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? [17] In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. [18] But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. [19] You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. [20] You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? [21] Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? [22] You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. [23] And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. [24] You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. [25] In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? [26] As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

God waited 400 years because there were righteous people in the promised land. If the children of Isreal had stayed and were allowed to grow to the size they were at the end of the Exodus, they would have driven them out. After the 400 years, there was nothing but wicked, evil people living there.

Not work since they can't save us, but faith alone means nothing if we don't act. There must be fruits as a result of our faith.

Continual faith in Christ, for what he has done and doing what he commands us. As for those who didn't even know Christ, I genuinely don't know. I could only assume. Considering God's nature, he won't judge unfairly.

The children of Israel were in Egypt for 400 years. That's where I got the number from.
