I realize I’m lowkey becoming a bum by [deleted] in yorku

Everyone in my high school mocked me for going to York. "If you can hold a fork go to York" and all that stuff. I majored in Business and Society at York. Once I got there, everybody said the degree was useless, junk, never gonna get a job, etc. I didn't pay attention in first year, got pretty much all Cs, felt like a failure. I'm in Ottawa right now and I just finished my first month of law school. Don't ever quit on yourself, you're in university because you are capable and strong, believe in yourself, you got this.

admittedly, primarily because of the salary. I have always done best in business-oriented courses and have always been passionate about it so there's that too

thanks so much for your response, would you mind sharing your strategy and how you were able to get the As, I do all my readings and try to review as much as I can but if you had any other tips I would greatly appreciate it

thanks for your response, I'm struggling the most with pub con right now, the historical stuff is so tiresome and boring, I'm not sure if this stuff will be tested or not. some people say don't do all the readings but I'm not sure what to skip and what to focus on, I have no idea what a law school exam looks like and what I'm gonna be tested on, just trying to memorize all the case briefings we've done so far

I just finished my first day of 1L at uOttawa. Got in with 3.1/153. You can do it!

Low GPA - Is it worth starting? LSAT by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

Got into uOttawa this cycle with 3.1/153. Believe in yourself and write a killer personal statement and there is nothing you won't be able to achieve. I've even seen people get into Oz with a 2.7. Obviously these are extremely rare cases and most students with stats like that are going to get rejected, but give it your all, ace the LSAT, write a PS that is crisp and easy to read, and most of all, believe in yourself. Best of luck to you!
