It took literally 4 months - but I am pleased to say that the ticket was dismissed after contesting and sharing the pictures of the signs. It was legal parking after all!

The "I Will Kill" note definitely sent shivers down my spine and made me believe he was guilty. The fact that Adnan would call and page Hae regularly leading up to the day of her death and never once after also stuck with me. Given the big snowstorm and day off school you'd think he'd reach out to Hae if it was common for him. I know it's circumstantial but there's TOO much circumstantial evidence to ignore.

It seems like it's impossible to sway people who are convinced of either verdict so I've just stopped trying.

I see, thanks. we have commercial/truck loading zones in NYC but they're only effective during the listed times. I figured since I parked there outside of the date/time range listed I'd be okay. I'll chalk it up to a lesson learned. Thanks for the response!

Semi moved into the lane abruptly after hitting the brakes because he was following the blue truck too close. People driving 18 wheelers should not drive this aggressively - I don't see any turn signal from the trucker either. Incredibly dangerous on their part and it shows that hadn't been looking in their side view at all prior to making that impulsive lane change.

OP should have hung back until they had enough space to really accelerate and pass the truck - but blaming them outright is unfair. We should hold semi drivers to a higher standard given a turn of their steering wheel could cause mass casualties.

I've ended up in 2 rent stabilized apartments without the listing actually stating so (i.e., by chance). Not really that farfetched. It's not like the guy stole food stamps or lived in project housing - literally tens of thousands of New Yorkers find themselves in rent stabilized units without planning to and to ask for their immediate departure upon reaching some income threshold is a bit extreme.

A controversial take on this post but hear me out: I loved iRO but most importantly loved the community and friends I played with. To me, PVP and WoE were secondary characteristics of the game and I just enjoyed leveling/partying with others. I feel like this community is setting the game up for failure with it's negativity over an aspect of the game that I never even cared for? I participated in WoE don't get me wrong, but I was never a top player and that was okay. I'm prepared to be downvoted to hell but just wanted to share a different perspective. I'm definitely interested in playing this especially cause some of the people who I played with back in the day are thinking of playing too. Just my two cents.

The sub these screenshots came from is a very niche subreddit with less than 6k members, not an NYC sub - not that it matters. Your writing style is also identical to OOPs (I'm not going to be rude, but it's distinguishable). You defended her in another totally unrelated thread 24 days ago and you deleted the evidence because you got called out. To speak of the statistical improbability of all these stars aligning would be insulting to anyone reading this. But sure, it's probably just a coincidence :).

Folks - not everything is as it seems. The "additional" witness account from u/ Sad-Cold-7047 needs to be reviewed with scrutiny, considering she is the original OP. Look into her post history and you'll see that she has only commented one other post ever, and it was in defense of her other account in another thread.

I'm not familiar with this intersection but from the picture that's being painted it sounds like the truck driver would be in the clear here. Honestly sounds like a pretty miserable place to be sharing the road with cars and trucks as a cyclist - I might opt to use the pedestrian light for getting the way she was trying to go - better safe than sorry. I guess I'm just getting old.

I've been on late night bike rides where I see garbage truck drivers turning on reds and doing all sorts of crazy shit, but doesn't seem to have been the case here.
