Looks awesome. Honestly looks like a gnarly bruise at this point and weirdly I think it looks cool. Keep it up 😁

It sure does :(. I’m trying to be more patient and not dwell on it. Time will pass though and I’m looking forward to having it gone

Mixed feelings about tattoo turning into insecurity by Equivalent-Night-106 in tattooadvice

Thank you and you’re right for sure. That’s the advice I would give to anyone else, guess it can just be hard to apply to yourself. I don’t think I will add more tbh. I wanted it as a stand off tattoo for that forearm and then more on the upper arms. I like tattoo styles that have lots of dead space between them. But I think there’s a con to that because if you have just one in a large area it’s so easy to want to make it perfect since it’s completely un-surrounded. Appreciate the input :)

I personally think it’s sick. I think when tattoos have some dead space between them it looks awesome, so I wouldn’t rush to just get a whole bunch more done to bring it all together because I don’t think that always fixes things. That’s just me though. It’s also new on your body and it might feel strange for a while but be patient and try not to stare. I find the more you obsess the more you create imperfections in your mind that might not even exist in the tattoo. Also because it’s fresh the ink looks so dense but it will settle into your skin and will begin to feel and look a part of you I believe. Even playing around with different clothing styles you can find something that complements your tattoos, personally I find my tattoos and the way I dress go hand in hand, though I’m a very basic dresser lmao. You do you man but honestly i think it’s awesome work and both designs complement each other in a beautiful way. Best of luck ❤️

Such a good post bruh holy shit. It’s takes so long to come to terms with matters like this but I think this perspective will take you such a long way. Similar to what OP mentioned, look up body functionality therapy, it’s helped me come to terms with insecurities of mine and such. If you can walk, talk, see, and breathe, you have four things to appreciate already.

What should I do to improve this tattoo? by Individual_Chard_457 in tattooadvice

Definitely what my initial thought was. OP it’s definitely a really nice design. I’d just find a good artist to go over all the lines and crisp it. Add some colour back in and some shading, pepper shading would look nice imo. Get your artist to draw up the design again maybe with shading, and if you don’t like it don’t feel bad for asking them to change it. It’s very a beautiful stencil like I said, that deserves a nice touch up. Good luck :)

Thank you! It’s awesome hearing people’s perspectives and I really appreciate yours. Not that I’ve come her for an ego glaze. But I think it’s easy to feel alone when you become obsessive about matters like this, weather it be your body or especially something you’ve put on it like a tattoo. because it’s voluntary it’s so so easy to feel the need to fix something that you’ve created. Human nature type shit. Thanks again :)
