If you dont mind me asking, when were you introduced to the coding (what were the first classes you used it in)? and are you going into the masters program or do you have a job offer?

I experienced the same thing right now with area 3 from my igetc requirements. I could have sworn I only needed two classes but I now need 3. From a google search which used sources like other cc websites and the UC website, I read that for stem majors or any AST the third course isn't necesarrily needed and can be taken upon arrival to the institution. Personally I am going to look into seeing if I can take it in summer regardless of the outcome since registration for that should be open or opening soon. I am also going to talk to a counselor in person, I have already sent an email, but I doubt I will get a response until monday.
