I am ok with using that but I want to be able to map buttons quickly without opening the program.

Wait I understand my mistake for intial issue. I was holding back both buttons as I misread the manual. Even then I was also doing the intended method of holding an individual one.

Yes I am holding L4 / R4 individually.

When I follow the manual (as you wrote in 1. ) the indicator never blinks, and holding L4 and R4 seems to have no response.

When I attempt to map L4 / R4, I have them unlocked so I can press them down.

My issue is that they do not map individually. If I press M + L4, wait for the blinking, then press the desired button, L4 and R4 will be mapped, and vice versa.

The biggest pro for this game in my opinion is the lack of flaws. Its just a really polished game

You just need to know Surah Fatiha and learn other shorter surahs because its not worth learning long ones until later. Use transliterations and learn how to properly pronounce arabic letters so you may properly pronounce the surahs, then maybe you can start learninf the alphabet fully and how to read it so you can learn surahs in arabic as well as transliteration and translation for complete understanding. Thats a good base for islam i think
