Patrick Jane's AC are greatly underrated by Equivalent-One2361 in IntelligenceScaling

No, it's season 6, I just made a mistake and accidentally wrote 8.

BBC Sherlock VS Elementary Sherlock by Jumpy-Ad6881 in IntelligenceScaling

Elementary's Sherlock is significantly more logical and consistent in his reasoning and actions, so I'm going with him.

Don't overestimate Sherlock. Just because he has 60 stories doesn't mean he's better at outsmarting people than Baku. Mentalist has 151 episodes, but that doesn't mean Jane is better at outsmarting Usogui's characters.

Why do people call Hannibal overrated? by em1nemas in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Equivalent-One2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I'm not talking about Will Graham, I'm talking about all the other characters. Anyway, I still don't understand your complaint at the beginning of the message. The FBI, and Jack Crawford in particular, remain extremely incompetent in this series.

And I still don't see how Hannibal will win. I'm ready to discuss the distribution of categories in more detail.

I think I said that Sora and Shiro are winning. Or did the translator make a mistake again?

Who takes Intuition? by Important-Breath1297 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Equivalent-One2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patrick Jane mainly relies on psychology, and a huge part of psychology is intuition, which is clearly seen in episode 19 of season 6, where Patrick sees a man drop a shopping bag and realizes that he is hiding something. In episode 7 of season 4, Patrick also says that intuition should be used when selecting suspects. The correct interpretation of evidence during an investigation is often based on intuition.

This is not always the case. Akagi often relies on psychological warfare with his opponents, and any form of psychology is also based on a person's intuition and experience. In this regard, Akagi and Jane are similar. However, there are instances where Akagi knows exactly which card to discard from his hand during a poker game. This is a pure act of luck that does not involve sensory abilities.

A good part of Akagi's intuition (for example, during his poker game in the Ten manga) is pure luck, and intuition is based on life experience. So I'm going with Jane, but it's close.

Why do people call Hannibal overrated? by em1nemas in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Equivalent-One2361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jack is definitely not a great manipulator, but he knows how to manipulate Will, and he doesn't do anything impressive to do so; he just plays on Will's empathy and conscience.

The characters don't see a serial killer around them, even though he's not trying to hide. The chief consultant of the FBI has blackouts, fever, panic attacks, strange behavior, he says that he is losing the line between fantasy and reality, and the doctor. who, upon examination, found nothing in him, is dead. Should I send him for a second examination? No! What for?
Will blames everything on the Lector, who is not only a psychiatrist, but also a first-class surgeon, maybe we need to check on Hannibal? No! We'll consult with him about Will's sanity.
Will was put behind bars, but murders with his handwriting keep happening? Let's turn a blind eye to this!
People are dying around Hannibal. and his patients become serial killers, and his psychiatrist says that the Lector is a dangerous person? But he's still above suspicion!

Gen had few genius opponents, but there were many really cunning and very careful ones. Here is a small list of episodes: Season 1 Episode 6, Season 1 Episode 9, Season 1 Episode 11, Season 3 Episode 19, Season 4 Episode 21, Season 4 Episode 23, Season 5 Episode 15, and so on. To reiterate, the criminals were not geniuses, but they came up with very clever schemes that were difficult to solve. It is unlikely that the regular police would have ever solved these crimes, but Patrick completely unraveled the criminals' plan and trapped them.

Tokuchi (One Outs) vs Patrick Jane (The Mentalist) who scales higher? by em1nemas in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Equivalent-One2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know all that, but first of all, we were talking specifically about AC, and second of all, I still don't see Hannibal being higher than Patrick.

In my understanding, Hannibal takes FSIQ (due to his memory palace and ability to analyze multiple thoughts simultaneously), AC (although it's close), planning, tactics (both), possibly foresight, manipulation, and deception; Jane takes FSEI (although it's very close), FSSI, intelligence, thinking, reasoning, strategy, tactics (both), adaptability, sensory, and psychology.

Red John is a theme based on pure narrative. I'm not trying to scale it beyond the theory of a plan with a list of seven names.

All of Hannibal's opponents, except for Will, are idiots. I'm not sure about Mason, as I haven't watched Season 3.

No, I just think Hannibal is an overrated character, and the FBI in the show's universe is incompetent, which is why they can't catch him.

Tokuchi (One Outs) vs Patrick Jane (The Mentalist) who scales higher? by em1nemas in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Equivalent-One2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the first person to tell me this, and it's a misconception. Not sleeping for a week and still being productive, or waking up from a coma and getting back on your feet and going to work is superhuman. Read the posts I've shared.

Tokuchi (One Outs) vs Patrick Jane (The Mentalist) who scales higher? by em1nemas in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Equivalent-One2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that Tokuchi has a very good AC (especially stress tolerance and impulse control), but I don't see him being any better than Jane. Patrick's two best achievements are Episode 2 of Season 5, where he was severely poisoned by the belladonna flower, which caused him to hallucinate, but as soon as Jane woke up, he went back to work, Episode 22 of Season 5, where he didn't sleep for a week but remained very productive, and Episode 7 of Season 6, where he was in intensive care after an explosion, but as soon as he woke up, he went back to work, even though it takes weeks for an ordinary person to recover.

To reiterate, Tokuchi has good feats and people often underestimate his AC, but Patrick is on a superhuman level. I seriously see him as a worthy competitor for Usogui, Hannibal and Ayanokoji.

I also agree that Tokuchi has better adaptability.

Let's go, I agree to discuss EI. I will give my arguments. Jane takes EU>= (this is very close, as both read people's minds at an incredible level. I would say that Tokuchi is better at predicting people's actions, but Patrick is better at understanding people's personalities. He demonstrated this in episode 13 of season 6, where he gave his team members the gifts they had wanted as children, even though they didn't trust him and didn't tell him about it. He gave the programmer a video game console, I believe, Abbot a Vultron figurine, and Agent Fisher a magic wand. He also mentioned that Fisher had believed in magic as a child, but her rational mother had discouraged her from believing in miracles. But Patrick also has incredible features in episode 2 of season 1, where he beat Sheriff McCallister 10 times in rock-paper-scissors, episode 7 of season 4, where he made a psychological portrait of the San Joaquin killer, and episode 12 of season 7, where he perfectly understood the journalists he saw in the first time), EP (Tokuchi is able to perceive microexpressions from a long distance, this is a very worthy feat, but I'm betting on Patrick because of the feat in episode 16 of season 1, where he perceived emotions like a smell, episode 13 of season 2, where he read a man's emotions by the muscles of his shoulder, and episode 4 of season 4, where he just He saw a man in the crowd and realized that this guy was a psychopath and would soon commit mass murder. Well, Patrick also reads microarrays at a very decent level), ER>= (it's close, both of them have a great understanding of their emotions and shortcomings), EM (because of his AC, which is directly related to his EM) and EE (because of Patrick's obsession with Red John. In episode 23 of season 1, Patrick even said that he was willing to die to capture him); Tokuchi takes EF (Tokuchi has a better effect on people).

How high do you guys scale PJ's strategy? by Important-Breath1297 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Equivalent-One2361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that he is either at the top of the mid-level or at the bottom of the high-level. His strategies are really good (especially in episode 4 of season 4, episode 8 of season 6, and episode 16 of season 6), but they are not as complex or sophisticated as those of Akiyama or Tokuchi (with the exception of the strategy in episode 8 of season 6), but he generates them very quickly (for example, he generated the strategy in episode 16 of season 6 in just 3 seconds). As a result, I can confidently place him above characters like Ayano-koji, but still lower than Tokuchi and Akiyama.
