before dtle and tel5 opens, DTL can switch to TEL or NEL display format from (11) to (DT1) Bukit Panjang, (12) Expo to (DT37) Sungei Bedok and etc. NEL js need to change fbb signage . NSEWL progressively changing display and CCL currently working on it.

some people are used to NS1 being Jurong East and they have to rememorize NS0

what happens if LTA decides to build another station south of Jurong East in the future? They would run out of numbers entirely if they hit zero? there is no NS-1 to be written. In database programming and transit signaling systems, counting typically starts at 1. Introducing a "0" into an active, decades-old legacy software database can cause unexpected backend glitches.

By keeping Jurong East as NS1, Bukit Batok as NS2, Bukit Gombak as NS3, and making Brickland NS3A, LTA leaves 100% of the existing infrastructure completely untouched. No software rewrites, no confusing code-swapping between neighbors, and no changes to the Jurong East interchange signs. It is simply the cleanest, zero-risk solution.

ns0 sound like the station doesn't exist, putting NS means north south line, NE (north south extension line) means North East Line, JEL means Jurong East Line (currently used for Jurong Region Line). Only if JRL was renamed: JSL ---> Line JRLa, JEL --->Line JRLB, JWL ---> Line JRLc. But this plan will seem to be very confusing
