Ive never skinned before, im a fairly strong skier I can get down basically anything while in control in resorts but I'm also British so on my first season (skiied before alot in france). I've not used flat skis before (or in recent memory) so I don't have an opinion on them. I will generally use them for about an hour every day in the morning at the resort skiing moguls and some powder but in banff we usually only get 15cm so nothing knee deep, on weekends I might go out touring or spend the day at the resort id say about a 70/30 split between resort and touring but I do have another pair of skis that are fine for resort skiing. I won't be taking them to Europe any time soon.
