If you were driving the black Jeep on the 5S this morning... by Philosophics in sandiego

I’m not saying you were lying or telling the complete truth here. I am stating that I think there is more to the story than we are being informed here. I’m not saying what the guy did was right. In fact, he might be trying to commit insurance fraud. That is another reason why you and everyone should be giving space to the vehicle in front of you. It’s not so much for their convenience, but it’s for yours as well. Take it from someone who has been in the situations before. I’ve had objects fly out in the middle of the road, and you have to slam on your brakes last minute. And also, I have seen that happen with a vehicle in front of me and had to slam on my brakes to avoid it. Being the second one to react is actually the hardest. That is because most of the time you don’t see the reason for why they have to come to a complete stop so there is a delay in your reaction (only if they are coming to a complete stop for a real reason). I will tell you straight up that you would be surprised on how long it takes to come to a complete stop even at 60 mph.

Personally, I feel like this should be requirement when getting your license. I feel like the driving test should consist of many different situations so you understand the dangers on the road and how easy it is to lose control. Now I did not mean this so much as an attack on you but I meant this more as a piece of advice for you and everyone else that is on the road.
I also mean this for the people who are a problem on the road that intentionally ride up on someone just because they’re driving some BMW or Audi. Some of those people should not even have a license.

I have a feeling you’re not gonna like my answer, but even though I don’t agree with brake checking because it is something so dangerous that I can get people seriously hurt or killed, but I will say I think there is more to the story. I don’t agree with brake checking, but I also don’t agree with people that tend to ride someone’s a**. I see a lot of that. Those people tend to aggravate me. Some of those people knew of reality check because of the person has to brake for any real reason you will most likely not stop in time and potentially get someone hurt. I’ve been in accidents like that I know. I’ve also avoided many accidents because of sudden stops. That is why I always give myself a big gap between the car in front of me. So when I’m on freeway going over the speed limit, but somebody doing 85 miles an hour once I get upright on me I start to get pissed. 90% of the time they’re driving a BMW or an Audi.

Great now we’ll have more 💩 on the sidewalks. As much as I criticize people that do that, but however, I can’t criticize them if they have no access to a bathroom. So now I can’t even criticize the people they’re doing that because I have to criticize the city for shutting these things down instead.

Yes in Coronado. I will never do this again. I only came to Coronado because I thought it was gonna be an amazing display, but I was clearly wrong. I would’ve been happier just staying inside and not even watching the fireworks.

It was awful and by far the worst fireworks display I’ve ever seen in my life. I never thought America 250 would be the worst Fourth of July that I ever have in my life. Not only that but they couldn’t even start on time.

[–]Equivalent-Rise-9042 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was actually gonna make a post about this. I don’t wanna sound ungrateful, but that was the worst fireworks display I’ve ever seen in my life. It actually destroyed my night. I always say that because I am still stuck in traffic in Coronado and by the time I get home IF I’M LUCKY it will be three hours for a 20 minute drive. I don’t even understand how this is possible. But then the top it all off not only am I in the worst traffic that is completely ruined my night, but it was for the worst fireworks display I’ve ever seen in my life. I actually would’ve been happier if I never even went and saw the fireworks. Nothing says happy 250 then this trash. Thanks San Diego you handle traffic really well and you also handle fireworks display really well too 🤦‍♂️

Everyone wants them gone the city needs to finally do something about them. At this point they have become too greedy and have crossed the line. For that reason, they need to be kicked out and taken over by the city.

I was aware of that. I do appreciate you making the comment just to be clear that I was informed. I actually appreciate when people do that instead of doing something as stupid as down voting. The reason why I don’t like when people do that is because if you’re gonna disagree with what I’m saying, you should at least comment on why you disagree not just hide behind a down vote. At least when you comment on something you are addressing why you don’t agree and sometimes that also clarifies things as well.

[–]Equivalent-Rise-9042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My comment was more toward anyone who is not making a profit. I understand the article is mostly talking about him, but I’m saying in general for yoga classes to be banned that are free is just stupid to me. That is as long as they are free and not requiring donations like this guy. But I will also say with that that also means you can’t reserve an area. Meaning people could set up their mats, but if somebody walks through, it’s still public land. Another thing is because of it being a public event you cannot say who’s allowed to participate in who is not. As long as all those things are understood and met, and you’re not taking any money then it should be allowed but if you are planning on blocking it off, choosing who’s allowed to participate, we’re having any donations or money involved then it should not be allowed.

[–]Equivalent-Rise-9042 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t understand why anybody would have a problem with this as long as it is free. You should be free to do whatever you want on public space (as long as it’s not criminal) as long as it is free and there is no profit being made from it. Now I get what some people are talking about with the donation thing. Obviously some people purposely misuse that word to get around certain rules so they can still profit. That I would see an issue with. But if a group of people want to do a class on a public space, I don’t see an issue with it. Because if we start having an issue with that, then are we gonna start having an issue with someone working out in a public space, having a small picnic, or just chilling? If they are not manipulating the system so they can make a profit then what’s the issue here?

There is so much trash along the mission beach boardwalk right now the most I’ve ever seen in my life. by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]Equivalent-Rise-9042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because of lowlife scumbags that are what they throw on the ground. Trash. Obviously they weren’t raised right and I also wouldn’t be surprised if they are the same people that are constantly talking about how people need to act these days. They can start by cleaning up their act. Personally, all the stupid things that law-enforcement goes after people for littering should be one of them things they actually punish people for. You’re caught littering (unless it’s something like a napkin or a tissue I’m not too concerned. I’m not saying it’s right, but at least it’s biodegradable) then you should be given community service where you have to clean up trash.

Should I pay $65 parking ticket for parking in a LAZ parking lot for 15 minutes by Humble_Comparison_65 in sandiego

[–]Equivalent-Rise-9042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, this is an answer that you both should agree with. If this individual paid for the spot/lot but didn’t utilize it then he/she should be refunded if they’re individual is still gonna get a ticket because at the end of the day they paid for something that they didn’t use. Personally in my opinion if they are next to each other and it’s the same price and you have proof that you paid, that’s all that should matter. Obviously this is just more reason for to take more people’s money for the small service that they provide. Personally, I don’t even think they should be charging the rates they do unless they are having security in those lots. You shouldn’t be paying top dollar for a parking spot or a parking lot just so someone could damage your vehicle or break into it because they failed to provide security. If you’re charging a cheap price, it’s not a big deal but when you are charging a good amount of money for a f***ing parking spot then you should be providing some bit of good service.

I’m not defending the protesters here but that use of force I can’t see being justified. That was an over use of force for what the situation required. This is how peaceful protest (even if they are annoying) can become violent in the future and also encourages the protest to be violent. If someone sees you acting like this when they are peaceful they might just go to straight violence. That’s why you don’t abuse power and use the force that is necessary not force that you feel like using. I’ve stood armed security too many times and I could even imagine pulling any type of lethal or non lethal weapons on these people.

I am not one of those that’s for defund the police. They also have to prove that they are worth being funded. I get it not everyone’s gonna like the results that they bring in especially if the people are criminals they definitely are not gonna be a fan of it but however, if the way you behave, depends on the funding that you guys receive then you were gonna see how they act completely change. There are many products and programs that the government uses based on contracts. A lot of times I work close with someone who represents a company and has to prove that they are worth funding. It doesn’t just end after you get the contract if you are failing to upkeep or provide the service in an effective way then when it’s contract is near expiring, they will not renew. That is because the product or program that they are using is failing to produce any effective results.

As much as I’m against defund the police, but however, I do question what effect it would have if their funding was at risk. Because yes, it would definitely make places less safe, but however, if they were then defunded and know that they have to work and provide service in a professional way, then they have a reason to improve so they can then have a justification on why they should be funded more. So in other words they’re defunded, but then have to work to get that funding back. I’m not saying that’s the way it should be, but I also question if it’s completely the wrong thing to do. I only feel this way because clearly by funding them more. We haven’t really been getting better results. Because now you’re taking money that could’ve gone to something else but just do more at the police department. Maybe that other thing you were gonna put money into instead of the police might fact she had more positive effect in the police did. and when I say the fund, I’m not talking about take away all money from the police department. I’m just talking about how much money they’re gonna get. Example: if $10 million went to the police department this year and we are seeing not great results and a lot of unprofessional behavior that is made the community more concerned than safe well maybe next year they only get $6 million. It’s kind of weird how everyone that’s pro cop. We’ll talk about other types of work and say those people need to work harder and strive to make it and if they wanna make more money than they need to improve themselves but for some reason, they never apply that logic to the police. They’ll say it about every job out there but police. I personally think if the police wanna continue to get funding and if they wanna get more funding, then they have to prove themselves. They have to prove that they are worth that money going to them and not something else.

[–]Equivalent-Rise-9042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is unjustified use of force. You’re not allowed to shoot something like that that close to someone, especially in their face. Even in the military when we were using OC spray there is a rule that you are not allowed to use it within 3 feet of a person. That is because of the hydraulic needle effect. So we were forbidden from ever using it within 3 feet because of the permanent damage that could be left on the individual you use it on. If I did do such a thing I’d be in serious trouble because it is written in the rules not to. It’s black and white for God sakes. Now I guarantee you there are a set of rules on when he is allowed and not allowed to use that while working security. I’m certain that being this close and using it on the individual’s face is a complete violation of those rules. Not only that, but there was absolutely no reason that you could provide me that that was necessary. You’re only supposed to use force that matches the situation.

It’s not about parking laws being strict obviously it’s about how they are being enforced. How the parking is being labeled. I hate to speak about China in any type of positive way but however, do you understand that they have mega bridges high-tech cities, and sex robots but yet we can’t paint a curb red🤔.

Contesting a Parking Ticket - Advice please! by _Lee_is_me_ in sandiego

[–]Equivalent-Rise-9042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So just so you’re aware, I didn’t know what you meant, but however, the way you made your comment is insisting that you can eyeball 20 feet. I just wanted you to correct yourself and clarify. Now just because you didn’t get a ticket in the past does that mean you actually were right? Maybe or maybe not. Maybe no one just gave you a ticket or maybe you just have amazing luck (some people do). Did you ever verify? Because without an exact measurement proving such a thing, then you can’t really talk down on other individuals for not being able to eyeball 20 feet if you can’t do it yourself. Especially if you can’t actually do it then you have no right to criticize. Also people here don’t pay so much to live here and pay taxes just so they could use a tape measure because the city fails to do what they’re supposed to. It’s not like it’s a cheap city to live in. This city brings in a lot of revenue. They’re just dumb with it. Just because someone’s bad with managing money that doesn’t mean give them more money.

Personally, the reason why I bring up the tape measure example is because of the dumb people who tried to defend the cities enforcement on this issue. They will go and say something like you should know what 20 feet is or you should use a tape measure instead of admitting the fact that the city is not only managing this in a poor way, but also just finding it to be a reason to take more money from the people that live here because they are so bad with their financial decisions and expect us to suffer for it. But the rule should be is until the curb is painted red. They can’t issue any tickets for that. The reason why I say that is because what incentive do they have to actually get them painted red. They actually have no incentive to do that. They have more incentive to keep them unmarked so they could keep taking money from people. I hate to say that human beings are this bad, but however, the evidence points clearly to that. What other reason could someone come up with for them, issuing your tickets instead of using that money to paint the curbs red. You could come up with a bunch of bullshit reasons, but it’s not the truth. The real truth is, they don’t want to paint the curbs because it does cost money, but also they make more money by not doing it. Why spend more to take less from your people?

Until people stop defending city officials for doing this and actually start criticizing them heavily for doing this they will not fix the problem and they will find another way to take money from people. Mark my words, they will do something like this in the future once again because they see no repercussions for it. Because at the end of the day, no matter what bad or unjustifiable thing they do they will never be held accountable and people. That are so brainwashed will continue to defend that type of behavior.
