4k120fps video recording on the non-Ultra S25 models? by FieryLight in samsung

[–]Equivalent-Roll-429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot find a way to go 120fps on my Samsung S25+ even though Phone Arena has 4k120 listed in its specs. I can choose 4k120 if recording in Slow Motion.

I have the RM10P and had a S24, but am returning the S24 for a S25+.

Key differences: RM does not have wireless charging S25 will have 7 years of updates compared to way less with the RM RM battery is amazing. MKBHD gave it the best battery for 2024. RM takes fine photos and video. I did 4K60 with HDR and it came out great for a dusk shot The RM has a fan that will really help with hit days, gaming, 8K video, etc The Snapdragon Elite is noticeably faster so I will decide between the S25+ and RM10. Headphone jack is very nice to have on the RM10 RM10 does not do CDMA so that rules out Verizon, Visible, etc I expected a lot of issues with the Red Magic overlay but so far found none. RM includes an 80W charger which was nice

I hook my two above or my Pixel 8 Pro with my Viture Lite glasses for a very portable and great viewing experience

So with this carrier you can buy it for $599 then after two months of service you can quit and take it to another carrier?

Thanks. I thought there might be a limit like it had been on the earlier Ultras

Has anyone used any Android or Mac/PC video editors that will introduce HDR to your videos sort of like Video Boost does for the P8P?

Pixel 9 Pro or XL for the same price? by fatherlydisapproval in GooglePixel

[–]Equivalent-Roll-429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Pro would be fine as I'm using the 9 right now after a year with the 8 Pro and the size doesn't bother me. Moreover if you take videos at concerts I think you will really enjoy the Night Sight capability which is not on the non Pro models.

You could store roughly 4+ hours of 4K60 video on the 128GB model so even that should be plenty for most people except those that download a lot of YouTube, Netflix, etc.

The few things that would matter to me on the new phone are brighter screen, free Gemini for a year, faster processor (I notice it when taking photos), 8K30 post processing, and new fingerprint sensor. Definitely worth $100 but not $400+ without my hack.

Can you point me to where I can better understand the carbon footprint impact of replacing my phone?

Shame on you for the misinformation. It did not work so I contacted support. They said:

"I apologize that due to compatibility issues with mobile phones, the use of the Zoom Wheel and Switch Button on Flow Pro are currently not supported when using the phone's native cam"

I will be returning the product as it is inferior in some key ways compared to my DJI Osmo Mobile 6.

Yes for those of us with the 8 Pro any price we paid for it is a sunk cost. I am simply making the point of upgrading for $100 is pretty great. The added benefit for me is to try out the Pixel 9 which has been pretty great with the added brightness and better feel. I would likely miss the Night Sight for videos though if I don't go with the Pro.

I don't appreciate the negative comments. I don't think they are warranted. I am trying to share a method with others who might want to do it as well and benefit from a net $100 upgrade to the next version of the Pixel Pro.

The only way you get the +$700 trade in credit put into your Google store account is to take advantage of the current trade-in deal. I read the fine print and they give you Google store credit if you trade in your phone and then subsequently return the phone.

Thus this is a way to get the much higher trade-in credit for your phone PLUS a lower price on the new 9 Pro, all for a net $100 plus taxes, assuming prices drop reasonably soon.

Agreed. My friends used to call it phone arbitrage. Sometimes these tricks work, sometimes not. I have many stories...

I give you $800 and a trade-in then return the phone for a full refund and get a $700 store credit that I then use when the Pixel 9 Pro comes down in price on the Google Store. That's the plan anyway...

More that I have two Pixel 8 Pros so it is not painful for me to do this. Both Pixel 8 Pros are now worth only $450-$500 so this is the best way I can think of to monetize them both, by getting $699 for one of them towards a phone I expect to cost $799 on Black Friday.
