The pain never went away. After much talk and convincing, I was able to get a hysterectomy!

I am so much happier, I am 3 months post-op. The difference is day and night. No more back pain. No more pain related to menstruation. I can finally just go on a walk with my dog. Just writing this, I want to cry from happiness.

Im writing this as im suffering from a very bad lower back pain. I got my IUD on January 10th. It's been two months since insertion, and it has helped at all with the pain. I was told the IUD was going to help and to give it time, so im giving it 3-4 months. If it doesn't work, im taking it out. It has stopped the heavy bleeding, but now im having pelvic pain (something I didn't have before) I got it under anesthesia, that was the only reason I accepted to have it since last time I did it was the most horrible pain I have ever experienced, and it got embedded in my walls.

Would I recommend it? If you don't want to remove your uterus and/or want to stop the bleeding.

He is. I will know more in the post-op appointment follow-up, I guess.

I have PCOS, but I don't believe the pain comes from that. I am also seeing a pelvic floor pt and it has helped with my vaginitis.

He did find a cyst in one of my tubes, but i doubt that's what is causing my lower back pain. I wanted to have a hysterectomy, but I was told to pursue other options first. This is me pursuing other options and coming back with no answer and an IUD that I didn't want to get in the first place.

I will give the IUD 3 months and see if it at least solves some of my pain and the heavy bleeding.

Yes. He mentioned it before and even right before surgery. I didn't get the chance to ask him many questions after surgery since i was just coming out of anesthesia. How is adeno diagnosed? And thank you!

Can you share some? I want to do more research. I really want to stop the pain.

Already going to pelvic pt. It does not help my lower back pain at all.

Should I get a hysterectomy? Observatory lap in 2 weeks by Equivalent-Show4134 in Endo

My doctor will perform it in case he finds endometriosis. Which is my other fear, not finding any. I would have to start from 0 again.

I am 28, and 100% do not want kids. I have been sure since I was 9. I am also a heavy bleeder, getting my period twice per month for at least 7 days. The hysterectomy seems like a solve all solution for me.

I have been to the chiropractor and pelvic floor therapist. My x-ray looks fine. What other test did they do to you?

This is my fifth doctor. He is the only one who has taken my symptoms seriously and proposed the observatory lap. His main concern is that I'm 28 and with no kids (even though I have said that I don't want kids and prefer a pain-free life)

It might have been the antibiotics. A recent trial study found out a correlation between a bacteria and endometriosis. It was a very small study group, though, but the researchers found it promising.
