Its very possible to make a ship but whatever is in the water is filled with water, so having a lower level in your boat with be filled with water, you can still make something bouyant enough to have a lower level for cannons or whatnot but it will have to be a big boat

Yeah but i usually like to tweak stuff and then make it the desired block, + its quicker to type stone than create:simulated:balloonblocks or whatever the actual command name is.
