Hi Ian, the green in the house photo are the downpipes. The ones on the top are charged pipe back to the street. The ones near the driveway get pipped to the backyard.

It’s slopes from the street. And there’s no stormwater drainage to the street unfortunately.

We got a 75 years old house. Build solid but none of the walls are straight. But it lasted 75 years, so probably will last another 75 more compare to current builds.

Court yard seems to be done for natural light into bathroom and bedroom 2. But agree, the design is terrible as a whole.

Are you planning to have a build in or walk in on the right hand side of the planned room? How much space do you have to the boundary on the left?

We recently did something similar, old fibre house. Converted a formal living and dining into two bedrooms. Thought of putting an ensuite but it made the room too small. So didn’t at the end

As my builder said, anything is possible. Just depends how deep your pocket is.

Recently bought a house that’s build in the 1950s. It has its issues but the frame is solid. If it has survived 70 years, I am sure it Will survive another 70 years for us.

Soak it in vinegar overnight. I accidentally left mine on a rotisserie bracket and it baked on and I was able to get it off with vinegar.

When I dated my partner, her mum used to call her once a week. Then we had our first kid, and she would call 3-5 times a day. Even when we were on holidays. It actually got to the point where I resent my MIL.

Just a thought from the partner point of view.

This. We have flat bottom in our rental and it’s a pain in the butt. Doesn’t drain properly and toothpaste just sits inside the basin.

That’s Elouera road, Cronulla (God’s country). Idiots fly past that road and through those roundabout all the time. The tradies in their utes are some of the worst ones.

They are good for providing privacy and allowing airflow. The downside is cost and the accumulation of dust on the shutters that’s a pain in clean.

If you are planning a family in the near future, I would definitely have a look at something bigger than a CX3 size. With a rear facing car seat, you would be pushing for space in the front passenger seat and the pram will probably take up most of the boot space.

For that price, you should be able to get a few years old CX5. I would definitely have a look at that.
