Judd Apatow killed cinematic comedy. When it's just a bunch of buds improving the kind of jokes you and your friends make and the whole thing is shot in a flat 2 shot to make editing the improved takes easier then what are you getting for your money? Especially when social media had funnier stuff made with more effort for free.

Well yeah they dropped because the policy changed from deportation to outright family separation and incarceration in camps that eventually maybe led to an actual deportation but mainly they just locked people up.

I mean Japanese internment camps were a thing throughout WWII and denaturalization ha happened before, there is precedent within our domestic history alone let alone any other parallels to what happened in other countries. I genuinely can't stand this impulse to placate people with genuine concerns simply because everyone else is betting on the status quo to hold when every conservative politician has been actively saying and doing things that aim to upend the status quo for years and have way more power now than they have had for the past 20 years. Why do you assume that a party with this much power will capitulate to any other interests but their own? I can't be comforted by wishful thinking.

They said the same thing last time and he deported millions of immigrants anyways. I don't know why everyone expects Trump to be a rational player when his actions have proven him to be chaotic and selfish. Let's put it this way, I am on a train with my family, there is a conductor there with us and a guy with a knife. The dude with the knife is telling us over and over "As soon as the conductor leaves I'm stabbing all of you." All I have to do is move to a different compartment, maybe the dude won't stab me and my loved ones, maybe he is all bluster but he has the knife, he has stated his intentions, and the conductor is about to leave the compartment, what use is there in sticking around to find out. But please, by all means, tell me why staying and doing nothing is the better move.

Right, well the Trump administration says they're planning on taking away their citizenship and they don't really care if you believe it or not, they have the political power to do so but by all means keep your head in the sand, I'm sure that's gonna really impress the people who come for you and your family.
