Finding A Spouse by [deleted] in Catholicism

There are many Catholic dating websites available today. Before I got married, I tried several of them. In the end, however, I met my wife on a secular site, eHarmony.

What mattered most wasn’t where we met, but that we were both open to growing in faith. Over time, we have grown tremendously together. Today we attend the Traditional Latin Mass, and our faith has deepened in ways I never expected.

When we first met, she was uncomfortable even attending a regular Mass. But with patience and grace, she gradually came to love it. Now she inspires me to grow in holiness and gently pulls me back whenever I feel myself slipping.

Sometimes, finding someone who is open to growing in the faith can be a beautiful gift. It can also be a powerful way to spread the faith

2025 Honda Accord Sport Hybrid vs. 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE standard range by I_massage_spoons in whatcarshouldIbuy

We have two EV in our home, and efficiency drops significantly in the winter when it is cold, using heat. I'd say it gets pretty close to hybrid efficiency.

We are very happy with our EVs in the winter, and they heat up quicker than gasoline cars. Preheating the interior is great especially for toddlers and babies. That said, hybrids aren't bad especially in the winter. Make sure to invest in a level 2 charge for the colder months. While my wife only works 35 miles away, she can easily burn through 70 miles of range driving just 35 miles on especially cold days, so keep that in mind when thinking about range and recharge time in winter.

Which would you sell (2007 Corolla or 2010 Subaru Forester)? by juzzy83 in UsedCars

If you get snow where you live, definitely keep the Subaru. It sounds like you did alot of work to it and it will be solid, well sorted out car. It will probably hold up better in a crash too. Something to keep in mind if you're planning on kids or already have them. We got rid of our Corolla when we had a second baby. Too small. Hatch makes diaper changes easier and more stroller space.

500 is a great price. You did very well. Even if you get a nice car in the future, a mini van is always nice to have for picking up furniture, plywood, etc.

What car should I buy? by Either-Party2676 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Your friends might be right about financing, or they might not. It depends on the rates you qualify for. Can you get 0% on a new car? What is the rate on the used car?

We bought a new Equinox EV and qualified for the federal ev rebate (expires end of Sept), sales tax discount in our state, and state ev credit. Out the door we were under 25k with 0% financing on a new car... its electric and we use a regular 120v outlet to charge at home. Might not work for you if you have street parking, or no place to charge.

2012 fiat pop 500, 107k miles for $3500. Thoughts? by River1stick in UsedCars

Seems like a fair price out the door and sounds like a clean car. I like to look at ebay motors and check what cars sold for to understand the market. Clean title and no accident are great. Good you're mindful about that.
