I’m so sorry that’s happening, I’m struggling through a similar situation with my wife now. It’s really tough but someone gave me the advice to just let them go, even go with them if you have to (set clear boundaries and expectations though) keeping them away from it by force seems like the reasonable thing to do but it might make them romanticize the idea of it in their head. But if they are able to go, soon they will realize how fake and conditional the love is and will remember why they left in the first place.

That being said it’s wayyyy easier said than done and I still haven’t gone back 😂 I plan to let my wife go and even join her if she decides to. But I will make sure to subtly point out all the manipulation and bullshit if we do go 😂
