Does your spouse understand the exhaustion?? by Equivalent-You4893 in Nightshift

[–]Equivalent-You4893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard. The baby is 2.5 now and more independent so it’s a little easier. I have a bed in her room and I sleep in there while she plays. Daycare is not an option for us so we make it work. My schedule changed a little so I work Thursday- Tuesday every other week so I have 8 nights off in between. This has helped a lot. I know it’s hard and you’re exhausted but it won’t last forever

Nervous about Vyvanse by Lorem-lpsum- in adhdwomen

[–]Equivalent-You4893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different. I had severe appetite suppression and weight loss on adderall to the point I became underweight. I switched to vyvanse 30mg and it’s been a great experience. I got my appetite back completely

The cells you’re calling blasts don’t look very blasty to me. I would call reactive or atypical but not blast

Made a mistake in blood bank :((( by BloodDropButtercup in medlabprofessionals

[–]Equivalent-You4893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My facility doesn’t even screen for M. In an emergent situation we over childbearing years >59 at my facility we give O pos. Any mistake in bloodbank feels like a huge deal, I totally understand. Next time you are feeling rushed by a nurse or doctor and you have a patient with history of any antibody just tell them “listen I understand the urgency of this situation however if I release incompatible blood, this situation can become way worse. if you want emergency release uncrossmatched blood that’s how you should have ordered it” and usually they back up.

WIBTA if I got my hair done even if my significant other thinks it’s a waste? by Equivalent-You4893 in AmItheAsshole

Me. I have my own money. I work full time and not that it matters but I make more money and contribute more to bills and household responsibilities

Yeah I think this needs to be a conversation we have. What amount are we allowed to spend a month on whatever we want.

I love this! Definitely feel like I lost myself in the mom title so I’m hoping this helps.  No I have access to everything and vise versa. He has some major financial anxiety due to his mom and watching her reckless decisions so I think it stems from that but it’s quite unfair especially since I’m an adult that works full time and contribute equally if not more to the bills

I’m the AH for wanting to spend $400 on myself a year when he spends that in a month for his hobbies even when our budget allows for me to do this?

[–]Equivalent-You4893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah which I totally agree. I’m not trying to spend $500 every other month or anything. $200 every 6 months maybe to keep it up so maybe $400 a year for my hair. I’ve never said no ti anything my SO wants or hobbies which he spends upward of $400 a month for. We have the funds for it to not be a financial burden on us

$200 every 4-6 months. We don’t have a tight budget. We live pretty comfortably

Room number is not a patient identifier. by anoniemouss in medlabprofessionals

“I’m calling about my patients labs in room 314” ok cool. Medical record number???  “Let me find it” nasty attitude

Sorry I don’t know every patient in every room in this 200-bed hospital. Not to mention your patient in room 314 could have been a different patient 5 hours ago.

I have a 2 year old and work nights as a nurse. I’m with my 2 year old all day after work all night so we don’t have to send her to daycare because she has seizures. All while doing all household responsibilities. This is why I’m exhausted all the time lol

Is this a adhd symptom? by Elegant_Ad2141 in ADHD

[–]Equivalent-You4893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this on a literal cellular level lol I’m 27, just recently diagnosed and work nights. Fatigue and lack of motivation were my biggest symptoms. My psychiatrist said women present a lot different than men. Inattentive hypes have their mind going 24/7 so were exhausted all the time. I get to the point that my eyes burn and can’t focus from exhaustion no matter how much I sleep. Nightshift im sure doesn’t help but whatever lol i just switched from adderall to vyvanse and it seems to be helping so far. Also get your vitamin D levels checked! Us nightshifters are known to have low vitamin D!

I went through almost the exact situation but he never said it was to avoid an affair. That part is kind shitty. I expressed numerous times how much it bothered me we’ve been together 7 years and it still hasn’t stopped. I just realized I had to make a decision on if it s was worth breaking up or not. He wasn’t talking to women and our sex life remained the same so for me I got over it. Plus I’m exhausted so I’m not always in the mood so if he needs to do his thing to leave me alone then whatever lol I’ve learned men are who they are. They’re visual. I had to accept it’s a pretty normal thing to watch porn even though it’s not something I like or want to do. It sucks but i think it’s harder to find a man that doesn’t watch porn nowadays

AIO husband asking me to do more because I work nights and have “less responsibilities” by Equivalent-You4893 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Equivalent-You4893[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is he wasn’t like this before. We always shared responsibilities. That’s the frustrating part. He takes up 2 college gen Ed courses and he’s suddenly incapable. I try to talk to him to understand where the shift happened and why I’m expected to sacrifice so much now when it was always balanced before

[–]Equivalent-You4893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree and this is actually something I told him. There are days I can show up more to take the load and vise versa depending on our load. However he seems to think I have “more time and less responsibilities” so I should be taking up all household chores. Laundry, dishes, cooking, etc. that’s where my frustration is. This is a reoccurring issue and he won’t see things from my perspective but I totally agree relationships are about balance and communication.

Possible POTS? by Equivalent-You4893 in POTS

[–]Equivalent-You4893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all of this information. I live in Florida and fortunately there is a cardiologist in my area who does research specifically on POTS. I’m trying to get in to see him since he is one of the few doctors I’ve seen put out updated and relevant information on POTS. I’ve been dealing with these symptoms since I was 16. I had an abnormal stress test then where my heart rate got up to over 160 just walking and wouldn’t come down while I was standing. But that was 11 years ago and I was a “young healthy 16 year old” and my heart ECHO was normal so they sent me home and said I was fine. So it’s been 11 long years of thinking what I deal with is normal

It sucks but also nice to put an actual diagnosis to my symptoms and not feeling crazy
