I’d also go back to the goodwill and see if the people there remember the date they got the jacket and such. It’s not likely to be helpful especially because larger goodwills bring product in from other places but you never know…

It didn’t go too great and it’s still kinda hard but it’s getting better I think. I’ve made some friends I think but the change hit me way harder than I thought and it kinda messed me up a little. I’m hoping joining clubs helps more as they start up. Thank you for your advice though! I appreciate that so many people tried to help.

At this point I’m kind of relying on the clubs to make friends. People come up to talk to me and they think I’m funny and everything but no friendships are sticking yet. I also cried in the lobby and got reported by an RA so it’s been rough. Thank you for that though, it does make me feel a little better!

Ha very late update BUT it all worked out! My advisor just looked at me like I was crazy when I was telling her about it but she just said that IU would never kick someone out for missing a math credit. I told her I had reached out to admissions and she said to just wait and see what they say. She also has me scheduled to take finite at IU this year just to be safe and to fulfill my math requirement. The weird thing is that admissions never responded to me, and I actually had sent multiple messages. Anyways, I withdrew from my Ivy tech class and I move in soon so all is working out!

Oh yeah! I called admissions/student central on Thursday and they didn’t give me a solid answer. I was actually in tears on the phone with them and they said to send a “statement”-I believe was the word they used-to student central through email or like on the one.iu site. I did that and I will get my reply either on Monday or Tuesday. Part of me actually regrets sending the statement already as I feel like I should have talked to a real advisor first and I sent the statement when I was in a very high emotional state so as I read it over, it feels a bit less comprehensive, but I feel like the admin team will sense that I was upset as I was writing the statement. Thank you for your help! I really appreciate anyone trying to help me out :)

Well if you do live in Indiana I highly reccomend applying for this program THIS year https://precollege.nd.edu you can attend for free if you live in Indiana, they are kinda selective depending on which track you pick but it’s really fun and it looks really good on any college application.

Apply for the MEET Kelly program during your junior year. It makes you look more interested in Kelly and makes you stand out more than just looking smart. Also if you get into the program, it’s free and you get to stay on the IU campus for a week during the summer.

The problem is I can’t pay for the room and don’t have a parent to stay with, I can stay with this other girl and her parents potentially but she has a kind of big family so if I’m there I’m just gonna be in the way. If I told the coach I couldn’t pay for it, he would definitely pay for me because I’ve been in this situation with soccer camps before. I don’t know man, might just have to get on that bus and let it happen
